Drury Inn Marion, Marion

I' ve used the hotel for years with both children attending SIU one time or another. Its reasonable,clean, and they not only accept dogs... but seems to like them.!! They are very accomodating and we even get free "Happy Hour" I would reccommend this hotel to anyone

Me and my parents are part of a local TV Station and come to Marion two, maybe three times a year. EXCELLENT. We stay here every time!!! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the staff was accommodating. They were friendly and always asked how we were doing. The inside of the hotel was beautiful and the chandelier was fantastic and amazing. You can walk to places like BOB EVAN'S, APPLEBEE'S and BURGER KING. Places like the mall, Target, Wal-Mart, are in short driving dances. Across the street is an awesome little pizza joint but I forget the name. I think MCDONALD's is close. Then LAMBERT'S is near by- home of the tossed rolls. In basic it's a great location. Then, there is the pool area. It has an amazing hot tub, the bubbles that come up are so fun for little children. Then the clean and beautiful exercise area with a cable TV and water fountain is grand. Then there is the breakfast bar. It has great breakfast treats like cereal, french toast, scrambled eggs, biscuts, etc.. They also feature coffee, juices, milk, and MAKE YOUR OWN WAFFLES. They also provide a "state-of-the-art" toaster for their variety of bagels and toast. Best of all, it is free. Around 7pm-8pm you can get fresh free popcorn in the lobby from an old-fashioned popcorn maker like you see at a circus, very nice- especially for children. It is a GREAT HOTEL. I have been staying here for 9 years almost and its awesome, a relaxing getaway no matter why your in the little-known town of Marion. Even business travelers will be relaxed. The small-city atmosphere is relaxing in its own, it is sad not many people know about Marion Illinois. Stay at this hotel and don't waste your time or money elsewhere. =) *note: I did not recommend it for spa because, as far as I know, they do not currently have one. Nor does it have a hip/trendy scene or nightlife, just so ya know.*

ITS THE BEST IN THE AREA, CLEAN, GREAT BRKFAST AND THEY TAKE PETS!! HURRAY...ITS NOT THAT CLOSE TO SIU BUT IT IS WORTH THE 10 MIN RIDE. RESTAURANTS ARE NEAR AND THE POOL IS NICELY KEPT.
