Nice hotel
We stayed 8/14-8/19/10. Check in was great, but we got there about 10 am. Since we were early, we got luck and they had a room for us. Back side of the building overlooking the pool, 28th floor. Room was nice, actually, the bed was really comfortable. Slept really good. The casino is dark and hard to see, and the whole area was pretty loud. We liked the hotle ok, but seemed far from things we wanted to do. There is a bus that runs up and down the strip, but confusing to us. We figured out there was a monorail that goes the strip, but is a bit overpriced. I think there is tram that you can ride if you get on it behind the Monte Carlo. If it is your fist time there you really have to ask a lot of questions because no one really seemed to be very informative about getting around. Went to Fremont street, and was told the taxi would be around $15 each way. It was 21 going to 23 coming back. It was fun though, and it is less expensive to gamble there. Loved the show, Terry Fator, and Cirde so leigh The Beatles. If we go back, may try different hotel. The Mirage looked pretty nice, but would proably cost more. We didnt eat at any of the buffets, very over priced and who can eat $40 at a buffet and then not be misreable. Had a great time though.
