Verona, WI Holiday Inn Express
By Carrie, 06/21/09
My husband was standing up in a wedding and he verified the reservation with his credit card the day before. After the wedding I went to check into the Holiday Inn Express in Verona, WI. and they would not let me check in. They asked for his credit card and I did not have it and he would not be arriving into Verona for another 4 hours for the reception he was busy with the wedding. I asked if I could write a check and they could hold it and when my husband had time he would come and give them the actual credit card. Even though they had the credit card # they would not accommodate. I ended up waiting outside for 4 hours and became overheated and ended up going home before the reception and missing the celebration that my husband was participating in. I will never give my business to another Holiday Inn based on bad customer service.

My room smelled of urine.
By likescience, 07/15/08
I have stayed all around the country and this was by far my worst stay. Although the employee's were very friendly, the hotel was by far below average. The interior of the building is very old and run down. The breakfast room is small and my feet stuck to the floor, very dirty. The room that i was given had a strong smell of urine. The very worst i have saw in 20 years.

Excellent hotel
By Maaike, 02/03/08
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on business. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a great selection of good food and the complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening were good as well. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. I will be traveling to this city a number of times this year and would love to stay again.

Nice hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/06
Comfortable beds and clean rooms. They even give you a soft and firm pillow for each side of the bed - the pillow cases have it sewn on them. They had a complimentary social hour where they served you a free drink and snacks. I liked the fact that it wasn't a run down hotel and it lets pets stay too. Pool is open 24 hours! They had all the amenities you'd need - fridge with freezer, microwave, and a coffee pot. It's close to the Alliant Energy Convention Center and one of the cheaper hotels around. It also has highspeed wireless internet.

great first impression
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before, but they will be my first choice from now on when I book reservations. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were exceptionally neat, and the complimentary p.m. drinks and snacks, as well as the breakfast bar were tops. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations.

Great staff and a great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/05
We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn because it is located right across the street from the Alliant Energy Center. We really enjoyed the complimentary food and beverages in the evening. The 24-hour pool is awesome! I recommend this hotel to anybody coming to Madison.

We will stay again...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/05
March 25 & 26, 2005. We thought the service here was great. We were here the week-end of the kids state wrestling tournament. The motel was full. The desk clerks were very helpful, quick, and organized. There was one instance where some kids were being obnoxious. One of the night desk assistants walked from door to door to find and take care of the problem. And there was no more trouble. Even with all the people there, it was not noisy and the hotel was kept clean. Thumbs up to all who worked this busy, busy week-end.

Very disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/05
Service poor & hotel noisy. Night clerk was indifferent and unwilling to help. Won't return or recommend in the future.
