Marriott Costa Rica Hotel San Jose, Heredia

have stayed here many times and never been unhappy with the stay. a bit far from the city, but convenient to the airport. food is good in all the restuarants. pool is fantastic and the new spa has an excellent work out facility. would definately recomment staying here.

This place is fantastic. Stayed there 5x and never a bad thing to say. Don't pass it up! A great place for hotel-based tours, etc. The people can't do enough for you.

it had great food, it was very clean and the people were very nice and considerate of my needs throughout my vacation. it was greattttt!

I disliked this place because of management. They treat you nice until something occurs during your stay. Requesting a doctor during our stay and not speaking the language...Management felt they had the "RIGHT" to "REFUSE" us "OUR" doctor's report. I'm still struggling to get a copy of that report and they are saying "It Is Confidential". If the hotel has nothing to hide...Why would they not give you a copy. I would never refer this hotel to anyone.

This property is absolutely beautiful. You feel like you are in a palace or royal hacienda. Service is magnificent. Restaurants are very, very expensive, don't even think of ordering a bottle of wine, prices are astronomical. Although it is not centrally located, there is no other hotel of this level in San Jose. The common areas will delight you day and night. Our family stayed on two ocassions. However, two things that are negative: One, only four persons to a room policy forced us to rent a second room, pricey!! Second, you will see American businessmen waltzing around the property with "escorts". Yes, prostitution is legal and quite visible at this property. We spoke to management about it, although sympathetic there is nothing they could do. Embarrassing for a Marriott to condone such behavior openly.

Hotel and grounds are beautiful with the staff from the moment you arrive making you feel warm and welcome ready to assist you with your every need. Hotel resteraunts are excellent as well. Have been here several times and really enjoy. As long as this Marriott continues with smoking rooms , I will continue to look forward to being a guest. Judy Sherrill

Marriot is the best hotel in San Jose! Built in a wonderful colonial style, the luxury is all around us, in every detail!!And the food, hmm... really GREAT! Hope to go back soon!

if you pretend to eat in the restaurant Villa Hermosa....be patience because the service is to slow and take hours to have you order in your table beside cold and provable raw or without the details you aked before...no onions, well done, others
