Worst experience with a Best Western to date

The woman on night staff was incredibly rude both on the phone and in person. She was belligerent and seemed to not want us to stay. She hung up on me when I tried to call the hotel. I've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns for business and this was the worst. We didn't even stay the night because of her attitude.

Couldn't get into lobby

We were a late arrival (about 10:45) and we had to check in through a sliding glass window. The lady checking us in said the lobby was closed, so we stood in the parking lot with out suitcases handling the checkin. A little scary and uncomfortable, considering the neighborhood we were in was not the best. Room was basic - bed, dresser, table and chairs and that is about it. But, we just wanted a room to sleep in quickly on our way to St. Louis. For $60 not a bad deal for what we wanted. Breakfast was pitiful. We ended up at McDonald's.

we found this motel on the web. the web said the room was $44. manager said $49. make sure you print out page from web if you stay there. Quality of coffee in the room and continental breakfast very poor, watered down, very weak.Did not offer whole milk. Milk appeared to be skim, again watered down. Had to call for bath soap, none in the room. This is not what your normal Best Western Hotel would be like. Would not go there again.
