Horizon Casino Hotel, Vicksburg

New owners are remodeling, it does need it, so everything is closed.

I must say that this place is the worse casino we have ever visited. when we arrived at 3:45 pm it was to our understanding that within 15 mins our room would be ready. so we decided to visit the casino to have a cup of coffee [drove for 13 hours to get there] the bar keep explained that we would have to wait on a cocktail server. Well another 15 mins passes still no coffee so we went back to the hotel desk to obtain or room to to our suprise the new person at the desk said that she was'nt aware of the pending room being cleaned for us and then told us that it would take another 30 mins because they were short staffed. to sum up this casino we left and stayed elsewhere... If this is any reflection of how a hotel / casino is to be run maybe closing the doors is the best thing for all including the city of vicksburg...

MY HUSBAND, MYSELF, & A FRIEND HAVE STAYED AT THE HOTEL 2 TIMES BEFORE AND WE HAVE RESERVATIONS THERE FOR APRIL OF THIS YEAR. IT HAS EVERYTHING WE WANT IN A CASINO, HOTEL. IT IS ALOT CLOSER THAN LAS VEGAS TOO, SO WE DON'T HAVE TO BOOK RESEARVATIONS FOR AIR FLIGHT. IT IS A PERFECT PLACE TO SPEND A VACATION. WE LIVE IN LOUISIANA SO WE PLAN TO VACATION AND STAY AT HORIZON TWICE A YEAR.

Myself and several friends stayed there for one night of gambling. From the moment we checked in, we were followed through the lobby and through the casino. Hotel security made there presence known by making snide remarks to us while constantly following us around. This is a horrible place to stay if you want to avoid prejudice attitudes by the staff and security...We packed and left the same night we checked in!!!

Rooms were very clean and hotel employees were very friendly. Food was great and we had a blast at the casino.

people at the front desk were very helpful our waiter in the buffet was very friendly our room was quiet, the only thing I didn't like was I heard a train during the night comps in the casino were ok.

I disliked the probability of actually winning a Jackpot.....I have played and played and played and never have I came close to any winnings over (20)twenty dollars. The cleanliness of the Vicksburg Casino was over acceptible. If the Casino would allow the everyday average people to actually get back something, It would attract all the local and abroad business.

This Hotel was really nicer than I ever would have thought since I couldn't find any reviews about it when I was planning my trip. The room was clean, pretty and the bed was really comfortable. The buffet was really good too,they know how to season food. I will be staying there again. I hope they don't go up on their prices now that they have a rating (he he).

The hotel staff has to be one of the worst I have ever encountered in my 15 years of travel. Customer service is a zero priority. Plenty of other better places to stay in Vicksburg!

if you can get the 49.00 rate this is a decent place- at 79.00 the rooms are nice but th eservice leaves alot to be desired- if you don't need any help you're ok-
