Comfort Suites Hattiesburg, Hattiesburg

Pros: It is in a great location. Cons: The #1 con is that the rooms are EXTREMELY lacking in soundproofing. It was shameful how much sound from upstairs and the hallway transmitted into to the room. I have never stayed in a hotel where sound traveled so easily in and out of rooms, and I have stayed in some dumps. ;) The room did not feel clean at all. I also couldn't help but feel that some touch up was overdue. The carpet needs replacing and some fresh paint wouldn't hurt. Overall I would say the location in fantastic, but the rooms are bit pricy for what you actually get (noise and a little funk).

We recently stopped here onthe way home from Florida. We called ahead to reserve a room. The staff were very nice. When we arrived, the first thing you notice is the need to a remodel. The pool was tiny and the water was nasty and green. When we opened the door to our room (the presidential suite), the smell of mildew just about gagged me. The room smelled aweful! It also needed a remodel. We requested a refund. They apologized and refunded the money. Staff also said they were having trouble with the pool. Would definately NOT recommend this hotel, even though staff were pleasant.

I recently stayed 2 weeks at this hotel. It's in a great location and easy to access. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. However....the first week, I stayed in a downstairs room. It was older and was in need of a facelift...the room was very noisy. I talked to the manger about the issues. She was very nice and offered me a free upgrade to a jacuzzi suite the following week in a quieter area. I agreed and checked in the following week. When I opened the door to the room the smell of mold and mildew was overwhelming. I had to buy an air freshener to be able to stay in the room. Again, the furnishings, carpet, towels etc. were all in need of replacement. I would not recommend this hotel as there are others in the area that are much nicer for the money.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Motel and rooms are always clean and neat. In a great location and easy on and off from interstate or highway. Many very good resturants and stores within just a few minutes drive.

I came to Hattiesburg for my 2nd anniversary. I dont have many options due to money and the fact that I have 2 young sons. My wife and I checked in and were upgraded to the penthouse suite for free. the room was great. Little pricy, but well worth it. best night I have spent in a hotel. the jacuzzi tub was large, Im about 280lbs and my wife and I both fit in the tub and could recline. the indoor pool was also nice and the workout/gym room is not bad little small. The staff was excellent, breakfast was pretty good. The location was fantastic since it was near the Olive Garden as well as the mall and the main business district of Hattiesburg I highly recommend staying here.

This place is wondeful. It is easy to find and the people there a so nice. The rooms are very clean and if you need any extra towels no problem they bring them right up. Don't see what you want at breakfast just ask and the lady is right there to get it for you.

The hotel is nice but smells a LOT like mold we had to move because our first room had mold. Also the hotel has a very small pool that goes only 5 feet deep

With the exception of the staff's tardiness in having the room ready, the experience was without want. Clean, well-furnished rooms, good elevators, and a nice-looking lobby all make this hotel an excellent choice.
