Awful!

It was dirty! The rooms were dusty, the toilets were dirty, fixtures were broken, the toilets backed up, the halls smelled like smoke, the lobby was warm and the elevator was hot, the shower was dirty, the food was okay, there was an rv running cables into the hotel. they hiked the prices to a ridiculous price of $350 dollars for graduation weekend. 129 for the first night and 179 the second night. This hotel was really small the bathroom was very small. Do not stay here especially if you have children. The neighborhood around was very scary looking.

Never again!

We stayed in the hotel back in late January 2011 for about $89 per night which was a fair price. However, we booked the weekend of the college graduation and the rates were $159 and $185 for the two nights we stayed. This is not a $159-$185 per night hotel and they should be ashamed of themselves for acting like they are. I understand capitalism and supply and demand but taking advantage of the public at this level is unacceptable. $130 would be more reasonable for a high demand weekend for this location. They seem to have a good weekly clientele with workers but they really ripped off the public on this weekend; wonder what those not involved in graduation thought about paying this high rate.

We would stay here again

We stayed two nights with two small dogs in a non-smoking room. The manager gave us a room close to the exit insuring an easy in/out with our dogs. Room was very clean & quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast. The only reason I didn't give the motel 5 stars is because we had a problem with smoke drifting into our room via the bathroom exhaust system. I mentioned this both to the manager & night clerk who told me the smoking rooms were upstairs & the smoke must be drifting. We simply closed the bathroom door but if you have a serious allergy to smoke it would be a problem. I also had a small problem with the second night's billing but it was corrected immediately as soon as I brought to the manager's attention.

Worst Hotel Experience I've ever had

Stayed at this hotel one night on my way south and reserved to stay again on my way back. First night, it was ok. checked in- price was low but lights in my room weren't working, bathroom was not clean, took my kids to the pool and had to get them out because there was some kind of scum around the tile. On the way back I checked in and realized I wasn't given the daily rate, but a higher rate. after the management walked away from me when I questioned the rate, after she came and knocked on my door, after the manager called me on the phone.. I'd had enough and called best western to complain. the manager then called my room again and had me and my three children (one of which is autistic) removed from the hotel. we were already checked in and the kids were in their jammies as it was in the evening. I am married, but was traveling alone with my kids. It was a horrible experience

FANTASTIC HOTEL

Good value for standard overnight stay hotel, with complimentary full hot breakfast buffet, indoor pool, hot tub. Staff was very accomodating and cheerful. Room and hotel very clean, great location what else we need?

We liked everything about this place. The service was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing in the room. We felt very safe on our stay.

Needs improvement

Front desk staff was nice, however, the hotel was loud. Water running in the morning from room next door woke me up. People opening and closing doors.

Best Western/Best Hotel

The hotel was clean, appeared to be new. They had a nice breakfast selection in the morning. Nice indoor pool/spa. Easy access off I27. You can accually open your window if you want. Was by far the nicest hotel we have stayed at so far in Lubbock.
