Super 8 Motel Rio Rancho, Rio Rancho

When we checked in the younge lady was very rude! She seemed like we were taking her away from something. She had tatoo's and piercings not professional looking. We got our room and it smelled and the air conditioner didn't work. We saw several dead roaches on the floor. We paid more for the room then what was stated on the internet web site. We left to go to another hotel because of the smell in the room but was not refunded our money back. Very disappointed and would never recomend this motel to anyone. Rio Rancho Inn was much nicer for the same price we paid for at Super 8.

This is the best Super 8 we've ever stayed at. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spotless and the staff was very friendly and the most helpful we've ever encountered. My husband was very ill when we arrived. The young man on duty helped me bring our luggage and stuff into the room. We decided we had to extend the stay due to my husband's illness and that was not a problem for them. While talking to the manager and other staff members, I found out the the motel has been renovated within the last 2 years....new mattresses, the addition of public restroom and a guest laundry room (just to name a few). The price was affordable and we definitely got our money's worth. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the motel to everyone looking for all the above mentioned criteria. I was very disappointed in my visit to this hotel. We decided to stay in this hotel because of its location and the 4.5-5 star rating. The room at first look was spacious. After one nite on the bed I realized that my morning back pain was because of the severe sag in the mattress. I switched beds but the second bed had the same problem. The bathroom toilet and shower were clean but the floor was dirty and had hair on it.. and it was not hair from someones' head. When I opened my towel to dry off after my shower there were knots of someones hair in the towel which I picked off and left on the floor. The drain in the shower was slow and every shower was finished standing in over the ankle deep water. In the four days of our visit the hair on the floor was never cleaned up. The daily service on the room never replenished the bar soap either, which was thin and broken the second day. We left early because I could not take another nite on the sagging mattress. I am sorry to say that I will never stay in a Super 8 again.
