Good hotel for the price
By Affy T, 08/28/07
The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about directions, and places to eat. The hotel was in an excellent location for the freeway, restaurants and shopping. The room was clean especially the bathroom which is where I look first. The carpet in the hallways was a bit bumpy and loose in areas and the corridors were too warm. The continental breakfast had much more food than I anticipated with a variety for those of us who don't eat the standard sausage and eggs.

OK BUT NOTE THE DRAWBACKS BEFORE YOU DECIDE
By Mike, 11/13/06
WE WERE THERE NOV 6 -12TH. THE HOTEL WAS OVERALL NICE BUT I THOUGHT AVERAGE FOR THE PRICE. IT WAS NICE TO HAVE BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING. BUT DIDN'T ALLWAYS PUT OUT THE EGGS AND SAUSAGE. THE EVENING SNACK WAS SOUP AND IT WAS ALWAYS WATERED DOWN. THE BEDS WERE NOT VERY COMFORTABLE AS THEY USE CHEAP MATTRESSES. AND THE DECOR WAS BLAND IN THE ROOMS. ABOUT THE FACITLITIES, 1ST THE POOL WAS SO OVERLY CLORINATED THAT IT RUINED MY BATHING SUIT AND I HAD TO THROW IT OUT AT THE END OF MY STAY. MY GRANDSON WOULD NOT GO BACK INTO THE POOL AS IT IRRITATED HIS SKIN. THE KIDDY POOL WAS COLD, THE ADULT POOL WAS OK AS FAR AS TEMPERATURE. A FEW DAYS INTO OUR STAY AND A WATER PIPE BROKE AND WE HAD NO WATER FOR 8+ HOURS ONE DAY AND A FEW HOURS THE NEXT DAY. WE GOT A REFUND OF ONE DAY OFF THE BILL.. A LADY IN FRONT OF ME WHO ASKED ABOUT A COMPENSATION GOT 2 DAYS FREE OFF A 4 DAY STAY, WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THAT TO THE GERNERAL MANAGER I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE THE HUSBAND PITCHED A HUGE FIT. SO I GUESS RUDENESS PAYS HUH! ALL IN ALL IF YOU CAN SLEEP ON ANYTHING AND YOUR NOT GOING TO USE THE POOL COUNTRY INN IS AN OK CHOICE FOR THE AREA.

I visit annually
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/09/06
Open friendly feeling, with excellent staff. I try to stay annually, but I do not know when until one month beforehand, therefore, it is hard to get a reservation.

Very nice hotel for the price
By Sergio Castro, 09/25/05
This hotel has the decor and ambience of a much pricier place. We arrived early in the day and the front desk upgraded us to a suite even though we had reserved a low-priced room. The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. This hotel is freeway close and near a shopping center with several restaurants, but the rooms are quiet. The continental breakfast was very good.

A pleasant surprise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/05
I registered at this hotel for a one-night business stay because I knew the chain was reliable for clean suites. Not only was it clean, but it was actually a nice stay...good ambience and nicely decorated lobby with fireplace and a small library. The kitchen area and pool area were both large and clean. I'm going back with my family and will go back again. nice to have an affordale, reliable hotel in Scottsdale area.

Comfortable Mom & Pop place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/05
When I checked in the front desk person was so very nice and helpful. When my daughter-in-law who is from Spain, went to ask them a question, they were very rude to her. We are not from this area and are not used to having such rudeness because English is not her first language, please be kind and careful with your guests -- treat them the way you would like to be treated. Thank you.
