Best Western Paradise Inn

We stayed here in July 2006. Our overall experience was FAIR.
The positives: It was easy to find, close to shopping and not a huge complex. They also serve a hot breakfast of waffles, some cold cereals, bagels and danishes, orange & apple juice, milk. The only fresh fruit was bananas but they were good.
The negatives: We reserved a crib which took 3 phone calls to the front desk to be delivered. The hotel is right on a noisy major highway. The hotel pool is dinky. We saw a roach in the bathroom. The smell of the room was musty but my opinion on that may be misleading. I NEVER like the smell of hotels and I ALWAYS travel with a can of lysol, air fresheners of some sort (oust or a plug in) and a all purpose cleaner with paper towels.
Overall: We decided that next time we go to Corpus Christi, TX that it is worth the extra $20 - $40 a night to stay at a better hotel with a view of the water. After all, how often do you go on vacation? AND ... part of the experience is where you stay not just what you do. We want that oceanview that you can't find at the Best Western Paradise Inn.
