Great stay only a few minor things

We stayed at the Bradley at the beginning of August to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The inn is ideally located off Pearl St. and the staff is excellent. Beautiful and delicious breakfast in the morning with wine, cheese and other snacks to whet your appetite before venturing off to the excellent restaurants in the area. Rooms are spacious with nice bedding and furniture.
Minor things:
An inn of this excellent has some confusing short comings that made it 4 star instead of 5 star to me:
1 - The carpet in the hallway and down the stairs is filthy. Wine stains and well used. They could shampoo the carpet which would not fix the problem but make it better. I observed the maid staff wet mopping the wood floors downstairs and it looked excellent....a confusing oxymoron.
2- The sheets and pillow cases are hyper-allergenic but the lamp above the bed, blinds, underneath the bed and armoire were thick with dust. Evident a months and months of not being cleaned. We found a bottle cap and some Cheetos under the armoire after my son retrieved a dropped item.
These minor items aren't show stoppers for what was an excellent experience.
