Cant wait to go back . . .
By ,
Cant wait to go back to this place. We had a great all around experience in Jamaica at Breezes resort. I would definetly recommend it to anyone that can afford the trip and stay it is worth it. Went a few yrs ago and will always want to go back and hope we will. The resort was above average overall. The best part is that its on Doctors Cave beach which is by far the prettiest beach ive ever been to or best i maybe even seen. We also liked all the activities that were available and also the entertainment in which everybody can participate. We liked that the hotel helped us book all our tours and set up transportation. The food is pretty good overall but by the 5th day it gets old (since i ate the jerk chicken everyday). The pool was small but we didnt mind since we spent most of our at the beach anyway. The housekeeping was alright. They broke a jar candle we had bought while cleaning and eventually replaced it after some effort and time. We had to wait awhile to get into our room at first and the gave us some nasty wine or somthing so it didnt start good but ended up being really good by the end of the stay. So overall it was a great stay with few problems and couldnt ask for much more for the price.

About Breezes 2 I Keep Going Back..
By ,
I have now stayed at Breezes 5 times. Dean, Stacy, Carlos DJ...entertainment staff love you all. Adrian at the bar is great!!! Herman that works in the front desk area possibly a bellman. Thanks for everything. Marvin in security thanks. About Breezes on the Strip: Food Service: The daily dinner buffet is ok. After about the 3rd night of eating there the food gets to be a bit bland however they do try to make a variety of things to please. They always have beautiful sculptures made of butter, ice, and fruit. Bar Service: They have a variety of different drinks. Dont see something you want ask if they have it. They also have a drink list so if you have a taste for something check the list. Adrian makes a great Purple Rain. Room Cleanliness: The cabins have a full size bed in them so if you are thinking it will be bigger it's not. If you are staying in a "deluxe oceanview room" make sure its not blocked by the trees which was our experience and hope you are not staying on the disco side and want to go to bed before midnight you will get little sleep. But honestly if you are on vacation stay up and go to the disco. Location: Great!!! Tourist please don't pay $20US for a taxi ride to Margaritaville which is only a 3-5 minute walk. Great food and shopping located all around Breezes. Across the street from the hotel Yogi has a store and she will allow you to use the phone to call home if you need for a few dollars, she also has internet access. Value: Is ok. It's not the Ritz Carlton as said before by others that wrote reviews. The entire hotel is need of a remodel and I hope they do it soon. But I will continue to go back b/c I've made some really good friends there and they always welcome me home when I arrive. Breezes is nice nothing to write home about but the people make it worthwhile. The overall experience was fun as usual and I would reccommend it to those I know. The Beach: Craig and Adrian with watersports are cool people. Take the glass bottom boat with Adrian you may see some sea turtles and a variety of unique fish. Enjoy

Still on the fence.
By ,
My boyfriend and I went to Breezes for a 5 day - 4 night stay. Our room was small but very clean and had a great ocean view. The A.C worked fine and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaints about the room is that there was no outlets in the bathroom to plug in a curling iron and the fan was soo loud. The drinks were okay, I was not a fan of their Appleton rum (they don't have Malibu or Captain in stock!). The only beer offered is Redstripe, which was fine. The food was okay but could have used a wider selection. The beach was beautiful! The water was perfect and I would highly recommend snorkeling. We did get a chance to venture off the resort and were immediately pestered by people trying to sell you "ganja" or braid your hair. The key is to quickly say No thank you and keep walking. MargarittaVille was a good time, the drinks were great and their was an excellent view. We also visited Dolly's, The Kilt and The Groovy Grouper for dinner, which were great. Highly recommend jerk calamari @ Groovy Grouper and Dollys! All are within walking distance of the resort. We paid the 80.00 (!) a person to go on the Doon Buggy tour but it was well worth it, just plan on making a day trip. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but we both agree that we won't be returning to Breezes. The staff was hit or miss and I don't feel that they offered as much as you pay for, especially when considering the bar and food selection.

It Was A Great Time!!
By ,
At first my girlfriend and I, along with 8 others arrived to check in. We didnt reserve a beach side room ,but was upgraded to a room with a great view of ocean on the 5th floor. (only because they weren't full) I guess all in all, the time we spent there was great! I've been reading other reviews, and am kind of dissapointed because these bad reviews are kind of misleading! IT'S A 3 STAR HOTEL! People think that they are booking at the Ritz! We werent in the rooms much at all because we didnt pay to stay in our rooms! The food was bout the only thing that we weren't impressed about. But its a different country and its obviously not going to be the same as what your accoustomed to. The hotel offers a variety of things to enjoy! The guys in the group had alot of time snorkeling while the ladies laid on the beach most days. We also had the hotel take us to Ricks Cafe in Negril and to Ocho Rios. Both places were a blast, but I highly recomend that if you visit anywhere in Jamaica you must visit Ricks Cafe in Negril! This trip was a very good time, I and would recomend it to anyone who understands that for the price you pay to visit a place like this it is a very good deal!

About Breezes
By ,
I've stayed at breezes 2 times now. The first time we had problems with condensation from the air conditioner can't remember the room number but it was on the 5th floor far left corner closest to the street. So, the condensation from the pipes caused the bathroom ceiling to bulge (not the first time as you could see patchwork from previous repairs) to leaking on the bathroom counter top and tile floor. Watch your step!! Our room was clean our problem was with a member of the staff a woman named SHERIDAN, who made promises to change our room but never did. 2nd visit: Thought it was just me and decided to give Breezes another try. I enjoyed this trip much better our AC worked I remembered the room number 212. The t.v. was a bit of a challenge b/c the power button was missing off of the t.v. itself...we had to have maintenance come show us how to turn on the t.v. ***I reccomend everyone that stays there to go on the glass bottom boat with Adrian. He will show you some awesome sea life and make sure you get some great photos in the process. Overall if you don't see something at the bar such as Tequila you must ask for it. When you have the dinner buffet and want a tasty treat ask for some ice cream they have that too. I would stay at Breezes again because I know how it works now and the location could not be better you can walk to Margaritaville and shopping. Dont come to Breezes expecting a super resort it's very low-key.

Some good and bad,
By ,
Welcome: When we arrived at the hotel, we had a warm greeting with cold drinks and cool towel. Our first night we were place in a room, suppose to be ocean view but was not an ocean view and was too close to the outside entertainment with lots of noise. I immediately notify the supervisor who promised to move us the next day. She kept to her word and moved us the very next day to an ocean view room with a nice view. I really appreciated that as that helped me to have a different view of my vacation. Staff: The staffs were great and very attentive except for a few, which I will mention later. I have to say Trudy B. the supervisor was the best, she was great, attentive to visitors needs, take care of any concerns for you immediately, and she is an excellent supervisor. Sytandra the tour lady was great too. She always greets you with a smile when you come out of the elevator, always willing to help and assist you with whatever you needs may be. One last person I will mention is Junior in the restaurant upstairs, he is very professional, handles every guest with their individual needs and never complaints. For the most time the staff were good EXCEPT for the security guy that work that Sunday morning, I wish I knew his name. He asked us to leave our picnic chair for him when we were checking out, but we told him no, and from then on his attitude change, he did not want to help us, he would not even help us to get our shuttle back to the airport, was very mean to us. I thought he gets paid by the hotel, but he was acting as if he does not get paid, being very demanding about our picnic chairs. That's no way to treat your guests because they did not give you their personal property. Not all the ladies at the front desk were welcoming, but for the most part most of them were. The water activity staff ladies needs to get their act together and be friendlier, the ladies act like they do not want to come to work. The guys just stand there and talk to themselves all day. Food: the food was not bad at all, more than I expected, the restaurant upstairs was very nice if you want something different. Drinks were plenty and pretty good, bar staff always ready to give you a drink. Rooms: were small but I knew that from looking at the pictures when I was checking the hotel out. Rooms were clean daily by staff, which was an excellent service. Environment/entertainment: I love the environment, it was a mixed crowd, good for all ages and colors, people were friendly, the entertainment staff was great, and I know it’s very hard to try to engage people to participate in activities, but they did their best, I love them. The beach was great, nice hot tub. Location was great, close to airport, on the strip and close to most activities. Overall: This was nice place to stay overall; they just need to train all staff on how to treat customers, maybe Trudy, Sytandra and Junior can do the training for them since they are the best. When I do return to Jamaica, I will go back to the hotel, because I had a good experience overall.

I will visit Breezes Montego Bay Again!
By ,
No, this resort is not the Ritz Carlton. You knew that when you booked it. It is located on the "Hip Strip", which is an obvious plus. It is walking distance to Margaritaville, which is a good club most of the times. Across the street from the resort on the "Hip Strip" is a sports bar/small restaurant that is great. There is also a very nice restaraunt next door to the Margaritaville that is very "High Class!" The aforementioned is all in walking distance of the Breezes Montego Bay Resort. I stayed in the Ocean Front Suite, (sorry I spent a little extra) and I was disappointed that my balcony did not open up onto the ocean, but I understand that if I want that I need to pay for it, and I am fine with not paying for it. Basically for those who read this to determine if you want to stay at this resort. You should if you want a CHEAP all inclusive resort. If I want luxury I will choose the Ritz Carlton. You make your vacation, not Jamaica makes your vacation. Just about all the emploees at all of the resorts are rude, the entire island needs Customer Service training, get over it. The Beach is gorgeous, enjoy it but it is a public beach. I recommend this resort for singles, cheap travelers, no children, & I wouldn't go cheap on my honeymoon!!

Will never return
By ,
Jamaica itself was very beautiful, however Breezes in Montego Bay was a different story. The food at the "all inclusive restuarants was horrible and repetitive. The alcohol was very cheap. There were barely any onsite activities, and the activities that were offered you had to pay at least 50 per person some of the events were $175 per person. The telephone was gimic they gave us a form that stated if you used your credit card there will be a $2 charge, we confirmed with the lady at the front desk and she stated that once we pay the hotel for our phone calls there will be no additional charges. Needless to say the credit card company charged $75. The bathrooms were horribly put together the ceilings were falling apart and the walls were filthy. We paid for the Beach front suite and was given a room on the ground level which defeated the purposed of a balcony with a beach view, when we asked to move to a higher floor we were told that there were none available until the next morning. If you choose to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica please don't stay at Breezes in Montego Bay.

We Had Fun!
By ,
We stayed at the Breezes Montego Bay resort for 5 days for a wedding. We arrived about an hour before check-in and were greeted with cold towels and champagne and allowed to go to the buffet and bar while we waited. There was some confusion at check-in as they called everyone in our party to give them their room keys except for my husband and I. When we went to the desk to inquire on our room's status we were given keys with my mother-in-law's name instead of ours. We returned them and they fixed the names, but lucky for us they had given us a deluxe room instead of the smaller cabin we had booked. Not sure if that was intentional because of the mix up or not, but we were happy to have the king sized bed with more space for the same price! Room was clean. Air conditioner started leaking by our last day, but that is probably to be expected when it is running 24/7. The toilet in mother-in-law's room was installed too close to the sink and uncomfortable to sit on with your left hip smashed against the counter. She was also missing the alarm clock, but who needs one when you are on Jamaica time? Her room had 2 twin beds that were only a few inches apart from each other. Service was good all in all. Servers refilled water glasses before they even got to be half full and cleared away dishes as soon as you finished the last bite (sometimes before). Cooks at the grill and buffet were very friendly. Sometimes even though there were several bartenders milling around it was hard to get their attention to get a drink, but all the drinks were good. Our favorites were the Hummingbird and the Caribbean Sky. The activity staff always kept you entertained but at times were a little too pushy insisting that you participate in an activity. The minimum age to stay is 14, but some of the activities are a little raunchy for that age group. We were all over 21, so not a problem for us. Beach could've used a raking with all the cigarette butts in the sand, but the drink dispenser nearby was a nice touch and the water was gorgeous. We loved the glass bottom boat ride that was included and checked out snorkle gear every day to explore the coral reef and fish. There were "ganja" dealers and ladies who wanted to braid your hair hanging out by the pier, so we tried to stay away from there. The jacuzzi had a great view and also a drink dispenser nearby. We enjoyed eating at the Pastafari restaurant. Eating at a fancy restaurant and not having to worry about the check coming is great! The food at Jimmy's Buffet was okay, a few Jamaican dishes, some traditional fare for those less adventurous, fruit, soup, bread, dessert. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with custom made omelettes. They served a bigger buffet outside on Saturday night with a pasta bar and steaks from the Grill. We usually grabbed lunch from the grill. They had hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, Jamaican patties, chicken sandwiches. The best thing they had was the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The staff made togas for us on the night of the Toga party. You were to stand behind a sheet by the pool and strip down in front of everyone and the staff would then tie the sheet around you to fashion your toga. Not for the shy! We went to the party at Club Hurricane for about an hour as the bachelorette party. It was kind of a bust at the beginning, so we left early. Would not want to pay cover charge to get into the club. Maybe the fun started after we left. The wedding was beautiful with the ocean as the backdrop. Not very intimate with everyone in their swimsuits at the beach staring though. But, it was complimentary afterall. Reception held afterward in the Pelican Bar was very nice. They had tables set up for all guests and served us champagne and had a small cake. Excursions were not included and pretty pricey. We went to Rose Hall for $45 each. Resort was a good value for everything that was included, it was great not having to worry about carrying money.

Group of 26-ALL UNHAPPY
By ,
There were 26 of us all together and out of the 13 rooms, three couples stayed in their originally assigned room and luckily one of them was the bride and groom. We stayed in our original room also only because my husband didn't want to make a fuss. We paid for a Ocean View Suite and we were on the ground floor with only a view of trees and the pool (room 226). I was greatly disappointed. Most people changed rooms because they were not happy with the room for numerous reasons but some guests were moved because they did not have a room available that they had paid for and made them take a lesser valued room for the first night and then move into another room. That was not the only problem we ran into. Many people had toruble with the remotes to their tvs and air conditioners and it took forever to get some help with them. Some people asked for alarm clocks for the rooms and they did not receive them until the third time they asked. My room did not have an alarm clock either. The desk never knew what was going on. One employee would tell you one thing and the next would tell you something else. Both of the air conditioners in the bride and groom's room leaked and they had to put their ice bucket under them to catch the water. The hotel advertises in the book in your room that they have massages at their "spa" which they use special spa products with minerals and all that but they used Johnson's baby oil instead. They claim to have a spa but it is not a spa at all. They have a small , short ceiling room which is split by a wall that doesn't even go all the way to the ceiling. On one side is the "massage" area and the other is the beauty salon. While you are getting a massage, you hear hair dryers going and chattering in the salon along with the weights clinking together in the weight room and pool balls clinking together on the pool table. They should not advertise having a spa at all! Almost all of the staff was unwilling to help you with anything and if you do not book your trips outside of the resort with their travel person, they will not let the guide who is picking you up on the property to pick you up and they will confront and yell at the guide that you hire when they pick you up outside the property. They take a huge cut when you do book through the hotel so you are paying an outrageous price. We booked a guide named Eddie to take 24 of us to Ocho Rios and to Dunn River Falls and where ever we wanted along the way. We each paid $15 plus another $15 to get into the falls (not all of us went in to the falls). If we would have booked through the hotel, we would have had to go where their tour took us and on their schedule and pay something like $55 a person or something like that. The pictures of the resort are deceiving as well. One picture shows a view from above and from the water. It shows no trees but there are trees and a wall that line the resort and make it so you can not see the ocean from any room below the fourth floor. In other words, if you book an ocean view room, make sure that when you check in, you are on levels 4 or 5. All in all, I would NOT EVER return to any SuperClubs resorts and especially the Breezes Montego Bay. I will also be telling everyone I know about this poor experience. It was not only my opinion but another 25 other people's opinions as well.
