, It was an anniverary gift 54th from our kids.
By richard, 01/05/10
The service people were great.Everything was find but the room.I did not notice till that night.Bathroom fan and ceiling ligth were not working.Hole in wall next to bed about 2''x36''.Back of tv cabinet was falling off in living room. The lamp on a stand in bedroon would not work.Stain on window covering look like blood. This was suite 200.At check out I gave list of these items which I though sure be address to the check person.Alone with my address and my web site address. She stated it would be looked into and I would get a reply. As of this letter I have not heard any reply.I am sure this was room was over looked for what ever reason.Looking forward to staying again as we have many times in the passed.I would rate this as no too good.

Not for large families...
By ASHAS, 08/03/09
I have a family of 6 (4 kids, 2, 4, 9 & 12). ITs ok when you have 2 kids but our room was soo small. I thought they had roll aways but when we got there they said its a fire hazard and they do not carry them anymore. I got the room with 2 double beds. We could barely fit in the beds and I nor my kids did not sleep all night! My kids could not make any noise, there was an elderly couple next door. It was just not for us. Otherwise the room was clean and the bathroom was clean. Maids were nice and staff was friendly. View was partial ocean view and it was ok, but when your busy with 4 kids who has time to look at a view? There was an indoor pool that did not have a kids pool, so little kids did not really have fun. Breakfast was ok and the nightly reception was good. So ,if you kids and have the $$ to spend then book 2 adjoining rooms with space.

Good value!

Good value - good breakfasts. Staff was very friendly! Close to Naval Postgraduate school and easy drive to the Aquarium and Cannery Row.

Loved this hotel
By JenniferC, 05/04/09
Our rooms were VERY comfortable and spotless. The restaurant is a bit pricey--I wish it offered more affordable and typical food. There are places in the area to eat, however. Happy hour every day is nice. :-) Not within walking distance to attractions, but just a short car ride (minutes). Nice hotel to relax in the lobby. Would definitely stay again.

A great place to stay - loved the pool and perks
By midol, 01/16/09
Embassy Suites' rooms are great to escape the "side by side double beds" that families are usually subjected to with kids. We got a king room and the kids slept on the pull out sofa, we both had our own tv. Our room had a side view of the ocean and sunset which was a nice extra. We had never been to an Embassy Suites before and, although this one was a few miles from the Aquarium, I think it was the best choice for us in the area- based on the fact that, at the very least, the kids really wanted to swim. The pool is great (a tad cold), and spa but the beautiful concrete tiling was slippery. It looked like a great gym as glass separated the two areas. Nice facilities there. We particularly enjoyed the evening drinks and snacks! The kids ran a bit and there was a game room (pool table, a few overpriced video games) adjacent. We hit Chili's (in the same lot as the hotel) and that was fun. The kids loved the macaroni & cheese. The next morning, the breakfast was nice. I noticed some trouble with not enough coffee cups and a few of the plates were not spotless. We noticed a few people getting food to take up to the room. Later checkout was nice (12). From there, we got on Hwy. 1 and went to Pacific Grove -Asilomar Beach. It was easy to find if you follow Asilomar signs then left on Sunset and follow it. A great dog friendly beach, tidepools if you go at low tide. It's easy to spend a few hours there. We wandered Pacific Grove a bit until finding the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary- a pretty cool place that was a few miles over - A few stray monarchs were about. Until it was pointed out, it was hard to see the hundreds with their wings closed (looking more brown) up high clustered in a tree to the right of the entrance to the "trail."

Perfect location! The service was just great! For dinner we walked to Chili's which is across the parking lot. Very convenient. We would definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay here. The kids had a great time. Since it is a suite, they thought they had thier own room. We will definitely stay here again.

Great value for Monterey
By Sassy Lassy..., 02/12/08
I loved the central location. An easy drive to downtown Monterey or up the highway to Carmel. Del Monte Center is a very good shopping center and it's located two exits up the highway. Note the nice walking/jogging paths; one in front of the hotel around the public resevoir and one behind the hotel for hotel guests.

A great place to stay!
By Susan, 06/24/07
The place was clean and very nice. The carpet was a little damp for some reason but we didn't bother to report. The breakfast was great. I liked it when the front desk called to check if all was well. The check-in was the only thing that wasn't all that great. We arrived about noon and I had to wait around for awhile before the one person in the lobby finally helped me only to find out that I needed to return in an hour to check-in. It was just frustrating after waiting so long just to be told to wait another hour. Overall, our stay was very nice...and yes I would stay here again...and have always enjoyed the Embassy Suites wherever we have stayed.

Wonderful Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
It was a wonderful place to stay. The kids loved every aspect of it from the swimming pool, custom made omelets, all you can drink soda bar to riding up and down the glass elevators. It was a great experience for both the adults and kids.

Wont go back EVER!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/07
Had a horrible time, service was just horrible. Will NEVER go back. When we checked in I told them we needed a crib, well had to call 4-5 times down stairs and was NECER brought a crib. Finally I went down stairs at 9ish in my PJs and was told their were no more cribs left. I had to put my baby on a mattress on the floor, hen they gave us 2 free movies for the compensation and turns out the movies were broke to!! Good breakfast that all I can say.
