Average hotel
By ,
This hotel was average. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location on Rogers Ave made it convinent for the purpose of the trip, but I have definietly been in nicer hotels. The lamp and coffe pot on the desk did not work, in fact the power surge strip on the underside of the desk was plugged into itself and there was not an outlet anywhere near the desk to plug the surge protector into. I had a very creepy site coming out the the shower the first night. Apparently some one has used a gel or something to write a message on the bathroom mirror. It could not be seen unless the mirror fogged up. It was obviously the mirror had not been wiped down in awhile. And the room smelled horrible I went out and bought air freshner. All in all if I had been paying for it myself (work related travel) I might have been upset, but for me it served it's purpose.

We couldn't wait to leave!!!
By ,
The room we stayed in was way less quality than what we expected. The pictures they provide for you aren't any where near what the room looks like. We paid extra for a king room with a recliner. First of all the recliner was a chair with a foot stool underneath. The chair was in very bad shape. The carpet was dirty and in need of a shampoo. The furniture was placed akwardly around the room. The bath tub was disgusting. Two of the four lamps didn't work at all. One of them actually had a missing bulb. I almost electricuted myself reaching to find the switch! The price definitely didn't match the quality. The doors and walls are so thin you didn't miss anything that was going on in the rooms next to you or in the hall way. The musty odor of the room was awful. The burn marks all over the floor and bedding made us wonder if they cleaned the linens at all. The pillows were the smallest things I have ever seen, and the bed was wore down it had indents where people would normally lay. When we asked for extra pillows they told us to come down and get them ourselves. We got down there to find out they would only give us one extra pillow. I have stayed in Comfort Inns before, and this one is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The website says they are newly remodeled. I would hate to think that this is the best they could do. I would have probably gotten a better room at $40 some where else than I got here. I wouldn't pay $30 to stay here again. It made it the worst Valentines Day ever. Only stay here if you are desperate or if it is the only hotel available. Spend the extra $20 dollars and stay some where nice!! The Holiday Inn is way nicer and the same price. The only nice thing was the indoor pool and hot tub. Other than that it was a complete disappointment.

Raised rates for school events
By ,
We didn't stay here just because they raised the rates of the rooms for a school age volleyball tournament. We aren't taking a professional football game or a concert, but a volleyball game for kids. Let's make it harder for parents to be able to watch and support their kids by raising the rates of the room! No thanks. We stayed at the Ramada Inn that didn't jack up their rates. Comfort Inn is black listed to me no matter what state we play in!

Best place to work in Fort Smith!
By ,
I used to think that all hotels were the same. Now, I think that there are some places where the management and staff really care about what the customer needs and wants. I think CI-Fort Smith is one of those places. Along with being located within 6 blocks of loads of restaurants, it also serves what I believe is the best continental breakfast in Fort Smith. This is not your average "juice and doughnut" breakfast. Biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, waffles, french toast, breakfast burritos, scones, bagels, english muffins, doughnuts, oatmeal, cereal, juices, and 24-hour coffee service make this breakfast the best in its class. No wonder people keep coming back for more!
