Royal Palms Motel, Stuart

The location is very good for old downtown Stuart. It's just a few blocks walk to get there. Face it... the place is old but it's clean and a good value. If you want new and fancy - go somewhere else. I've stayed before and will again. It fits my needs and style just fine. I'm the type who always travels with my own soap and my own towels, etc. Their soaps are tiny! I required no special services so can't really speak of that feature. I had no problem with any cleanliness issues. Just keep in mind - the place is a small, old motel. The value seemed very fair in these days of increasing prices for everything. The location is great for a short walk to the downtown - it's just a bit 'hairy' getting into and out of the motel off of U.S. 1 during periods of high traffic. Publix grocery across the street to pick up goodies. Very good breakfast place right next to Publix.

The motel was very old. I stayed there a week only because there wasn't anything else available. They would not give a refund. Not sure why they needed a $50.00 cash deposit. The carpet was very dirty. Mold in the shower. I'm sure the dishes and utenciles in the kitchette had never been sanitized. Door had obviously been broken into before and was poorly fixed. Not an overall nice experience.
