California Dream Inn, Hollywood

We were looking for a small, quiet and inexpensive hotel right on the beach. It sure does look nice on the web site photos but they must have been taken 30 years ago ! When we got there, we wanted to run but we already paid for the first night and didn't have anything else booked. The place is falling apart. The yard looks like nobody was there for years. Neglected patio, dead plants, no patio furniture, fountain not working, and on top of this the real estate sign FOR SALE. The furniture in rooms is mismatched, everything barely standing and disguisting. The beach was dirty too. I have to admit that this was our worst experience ever. We left the next morning.

After finding this beachfront hotel online...I thought we had gotten lucky. Let me just say that the online pics are VERY deceiving! I wouldn't let my dog stay at this place. The room was so old and disgusting that my husband and I didn't even want to remove our shoes to change into our bathing suits. After staring at one another for 10 minutes we decided to check out of the hotel. I would hate to take a black light to that room..
