Watch Out

My family and I stayed at the Days Inn in December of 2006. We reserved our room with a credit card and when checking in told them we would be paying cash. They asked us to swipe our card again, which we did. But I made sure and clarified that we did not want our card charged, as there was nothing in that account. Well, we paid cash at the end of our visit and went home. 2 days later, we find out our card has been charged. It took several days to get the reimbursement. Communication with the owners/managers was very difficult because English is not their first language. We ended up bouncing several checks because of their error and ended up with almost $100 of fees. When I spoke to the manager/owner about this all they could do was apologize. No compensation for their error was made. A night's stay would have been nice or a partial refund of our stay, but sadly we were just out of luck. I will not be staying at their hotel again.
