The Perfect Place to Stay in Flagstaff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/10
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was brilliant. From our spacious, comfortable Grand Canyon themed room to the gourmet breakfast each morning and little touches like hot drinks and freshly made cookies left in the lounge every afternoon, newspapers, an impressive DVD library to choose from, free internet access and impeccable host Gordon there providing useful tips and information on what to see in the area, we couldn't have found a better place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. The place was quite full when we were there but we only saw the other guests at breakfast as the rooms are well sound-proofed and ours had a private entrance off the parking lot. The Inn is a 5 minute walk into the historic section of Flagstaff with its charming shops and restaurants. It really is the best place to stay in the area and Gordon will ensure you have a wonderful experience. I hope to be back in the future.

Wonderful place to stay in Flagstaff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/07/08
Very nice place to stay, but I've read some not-so-stellar reviews on different sites. I'm not sure what some of those folks expected. We've stayed at a ton of places across the US from bottom to top, and found this to be a wonderful place; away from the hussle & bustle-particularly of the national chains-no matter the cost. Sure, we would have liked to have paid less; just like everyone. But we found the accomodations very comfortable, and the owners & staff to be wonderful people, even if a little too yuppy for us. The place has wonderful character & atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the lack of phone & TV is a plus, not the minus that some people seem to think. Go to one of the chains if that's important to you. Read, talk, take time to get to know one another & get away from all-isn't that what a vacation is all about.

What's all the fuss about?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/08
A friend recommended this place to me - and I had read some postive reviews (on other websites) but my experience was less than stellar. The place itself is fine and the young lady checking us in was courteous, but the owner(s) were not very nice - and a bit pretentious. (Be sure to look and dress the part of a financially endowd guest to get noticed) to be treated well in this establishment.) There are just as many nice (less espensive) places to stay in Flagstaff where you will be treated with much more hospitality than at the 410.

Not exactly smoke-free
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
This place boasted a smoke-free environment – “no smoking anywhere on the premises – inside or out” yet we had to keep our widows closed during the day when we were in because the hotel staff were smoking outside of our window. Also, the noise from the restaurant next door (and directly under our other window) made earplugs necessary at night. For this price, you could find someplace quieter and legitimately smoke-free.

NASTY people!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
The places itself was decent - good location - yummy breakfast - but the owners themselves were mean, nasty people. We had to make a change in our plans. The owner never ceased to remind us of what a huge inconvenience it was. Also, two friends joined us on our stay for a single night (and paid the extra $25 per person, per night to do so). The next day, they were utterly humiliated in the lobby because they dared helped themselves to a few lousy cookies (snacks left out for paying guests - which they were). This is not how you treat paying customers - even if they help themselves to some snacks after the "designated" check-out time. I regreted giving them my business.

Good, not great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/06
We liked but didn't love this place for the price. The innkeepers were fabulous- very kind, knowlegeable. The location is great for walking into town BUT unless you have the very loud air conditioning running, you will hear the train every 15 minutes which is four blocks away. No cable tv and our tv, that would accomodate dvd or tapes was tiny. Our beds were not made up for us after the first night. Complementary computer with internet access in lobby which was great. Breakfast was a one menu item deal- if you didn't care for what they were serving you were out of luck. No choices, really- although I overheard some people saying they will do a simple in room breakfast if requested. But Great coffee. Better than the average Quality 8/franchise type place which is why we chose it, but for the price, expected a bit more upscale decorating in the rooms and a bit roomier and more choices for breakfast. We did like the garden seating for breakfast and that we didn't have to have a community breakfast with other guests. There were individual table at which to sit. So would we stay again?? Maybe, but would choose an upstairs room. Ask if your room is next to the next door restaurant also, I heard some people say it was noisy at night. Two of the rooms open onto the downstairs common room, we noticed, so you really want an upstairs room that has an air conditioning unit that will mask the train noise.
