The Fairbanks House, Amelia Island

I actually was there before 2006 with a wedding party. They had their wedding in the court yard under the arch leading to the garden. It was absolutely beautiful! I stayed in one of the smaller houses behind the big house, but got a tour of the big house and it was really beautiful. The food was awesome too! I would love to go back there some day with a significant other just for a peaceful and romantic weekend.

Beautiful setting, gracious and formal but very warm and inviting, convenient to everything,gourmet breakfasts served in a formal dining room, porch or patio, wonderful afternoon drinks with delicious selection of fabulous appetizers, yummy cookies available in entre way round the clock, rooms are large and beautiful with terrific detail, very inviting pool area, Bill and Theresa are informative and very personable, extremely helpful about local options, (we left an inportant folder behind, they called our home,and mailed it to us,for which we were very grateful) we loved our stay and would return without reservation!!!
