Get what you pay for!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/11
The elevator is terrible, it is quicker to use the stairs. The bathroom was dirty, tub had hair in it, side of the tub was nasty, the counter top around the sink was dirty, the table was dirty, the drawers were dirty, thank goodness the bed was clean. After going to Walmart and getting some cleaner and cleaning we felt better. The pool was closed for the season, pools were open at places beside us. The lazy river looked dirty . The jacuzzi was dirty and cold. The grounds were nice with swings and grills. Our last night was terrible, we were awaken at 12:30am with yelling and fighting in the hallway. I called the front desk but no answer. We stayed here before years ago but will not make the mistake of staying there again.

SEA DIP CLEAN LOL
By dandkcon, 4/5/11
THE SEA DIP THE WORST DUMP ON THE BEACH!!! My husband and i stayed here before a couple of times never thought it would be that bad but WRONG This motel has the oldest elevator that sounds like it's going to break down any time. Now The for the pools they do have out side pool thats green and hes cans in it for the the lazy river i would rather lay in mud pudle it would be cleaner. OK Now for my room i asked for a full kitchen. walked in and noticed a big hole in the bed spread we said it's ok it's only 3 days we can deal with it.Then noitice there is no towels i had to ask for them just after the maid just cleaned lol CLEANED what a joke where i live when you wash a table you wash top and the sides not there just the top. Also when you vacume you move things well here they don't and i have pics to prove it. And they don't care they told me go show them see my husband moved the night stand to charge his cell phone and found the outlet cover off and a crack pipe on the floor with a peice of crack we brought it to there attention they said we should not have moved the night stand. Nothing about the maid not doing their job they said we can't help what people do in there rooms Well heres the problem i have what would happen if a kid found that? All beacuse there maids don't clean after people stay there and owners don't care cause i talked to Mary and she said so and hunging up on me nice ha well MARY I HOPE NOW YOU CARE you can see for your self and stay there but i advise against it Donna April 02, 2011

Well where do I begin. it was worth the price we paid for I guess, you pay cheap tou get cheap. poor housekeeping skills, the headboards were filled with dust, I pulled out the little couch and it was nasty underneath. there was food and other stuff not sure, plastic bag with a white powder in it, the headboard on the poll out bed waqs broken. Sorry Sea Dip next time we will have to upgrade.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/2/09
We just got back from the Sea Dip and we had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The rates were affordable, the room was clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We would definately return and tell our friends of our great experience.

By Chiara&Jay, 6/27/09
I DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT ONE OF THE BED'S WAS BROKEN WHEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM AND IT'S WAS FIXED OUR LAST DAY THERE WE STAYED THREE NIGHT'S. AND THE CLOSET DOOR WAS BROKEN AND FELL ON MY TWO YEAR OLD. THE POOL'S WAS VERY NASTY IT' HAD FOOD AND A LOT OF OTHER STUFF FLOATING IN IT. THE HALL WAY SMELLED LIKE URINE AND BEER. AND ONE THE STAFF SMELLED LIKE BEER WHEN HE CAME TO CHECK OUT THE CLOSET DOOR AND BED. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY..

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/09
Did not like it at all , the dirtiest place elevators and the hall was filthy all the time had riff raff around and could not get any sleep the rooms were not too clean either, even after the cleaning lady had been there. Will never go back there you get what you pay for.

Get what u pay 4
By Bam-Bam904, 1/18/09
First and foremost, let me say that my girlfriend and I went during the off-season (January), just for a weekend get-away and we were on a budget. The room we got was decent, however I would definately advise the Sea Dip that it might be time to buy some new mattresses. Even though the room they gave us at first was the wrong type, the front desk staff was quick to fix it and did it with a smile. The room smelled fine, the heat/air worked fine, and the room had plenty of space. The pools weren't open with it being in January, but by looking at them I would definately say do not look forward to a large "Lazy River." It is very small. The elevator sounds like it is going to crash at any minute and one guest we got on with said she and her party had gotten stuck that day. The patio could use a little work too. The wireless internet kind of works if you keep trying it, but its more like using "wireless dial-up." VERY slow. To counter a lot of what the other reviews say, the front desk staff was very nice, the room did not smell, and the ammenities worked fine. There was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was better than home. The only other thing I disliked about it was that parking is across the street, however, this is a very small issue. It was very quiet, and I feel that the money paid got what it warranted. If you come here on a budget, don't expect mints on the pillows and daily massage sessions. Get the heck out of your room and enjoy all the things down here.

"this place is the worst"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/08
This place had a good location. This place is not a good place to bring the family. The first room we we're shown had rolling carpet, smelled of mold and mildew and not clean by most standards. We complained to mangement that this was not acceptable.Management showed us another room that smelled of heavy chemicals, dirty carpet and in need of repair. We complained but mangement told us they would not get our deposit back and good luck on finding another room this time of yesr.We accepted the best room they had to offer for an additional fee,and as we we're unloading to our room the elevator broke and our room was on the 12th floor. This room had dirty carpet,a broken bed and light fixtures that did not work just to name a few things. The next day as i was going down to complain about these things, the elevator was not working again. These are the best things i have to say."THIS PLACE IS THE WORST".Don't stay here your family will thank you.

awful
By won't go back, 7/21/08
As far as those who say "quit complaining" - maybe you have better expectations about cleanliness and how you want to spend your money. I however, want the most for my money and at $136 a night I expect a clean place - we were very disappointed as were others in our group and we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish I had listened to the reviews before we booked our room.

Never again!!!!
By William, 7/20/08
Ok, first off let me state that we have stayed at the sea dip numerous times. We decided that we would take a quick weekend trip in the middle of august. So we called our TRUSTY stand by and made reservations. We didnt have the money in our account so the lady told us to call back friday and we could pay then. So that is what we did. They didnt give us a reservation number or tell us the cancellation policy. All they told us was that we had 14 days to cancel our reservation. Well 14 days would have been August the 1st. Well our babysitter called and told us that she would be unable to watch our son that weekend so the very next day which is today we called and told them that we needed to cancel our reservation. Less than 24 hours later. She said that there would be a 15 dollar cancellation fee, which NOBODY told us about. WE asked to speak to a manager and of course, she wasnt there. How convienent. We called 4 times trying to get ahold of this manager and when we did she couldnt have cared less. We told them to go ahead and cancel the reservation but that we was still going to call the manager. We will NEVER stay at this motel again. I hope $15 dollars was worth it to them to loose a customer. DO NOT STAY HERE! I have made the mistake of calling from a brochure instead of the website for the last time. I guess I should have checked the website and read the pages of policies before i booked from the brochure. Silly me. Nevertheless, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED...We have posted here, trip advisor and the filed a complaint with the BBB.
