Bay Inn and Suites at Seaworld, San Diego

The floors were so dirty we put towels down to walk on. We were told they had a crib - we were brought an old pack n play held together by bungee cords. The air conditioner kept shutting itself off throughout the night. The hot tub was maybe 80 degrees. The enterance to the hotel is DIRECTLY across the street from a huge strip club. I would have been furious if we had payed full price to stay in such a dump.

We liked the upgrade to the family suite. The staff was nice. We did not like the area it is in. We felt deceived about the location since there is a Hustler Club with other adult venues across the street. Larry Flint would not be the ideal neighbor for your stay. The club was quiet, but not an area for children. The spin from one of staff members is that it is a military community, business district, shopping areas close by, IHOP next door, swamp meet and less than a mile from Sea World. If you don't mind the adult venues across the street, then it would be an ok stay. The place is not full. It appeared to have very few guests. The facility is definitely a hidden gem. Too bad it is not where more people would stay.

We booked on the internet and were a little worried about how this place would be. But it was better than we expected. There is a strip joint right across the street and when we asked the front-desk about it, they assured us that they have no control over it and that we will not be disturbed by anyone from there. We stayed 4 nights and we almost forgot about the strip club, since it did not affect us in any way. The room was small, but adequate and it has a coffee-maker (we didn't use it), mini-fridge, microwave, a/c. The bath room was normal sized and clean. The room felt safe and comfortable to sleep in. the building structure is old, so heavy vehicles passing by, on the road causes a shudder. But this is not all that annoying. They have muffins and tea/coffee/juice for breakfast. It is not much, but a nice gesture. The staff was courteous and very responsive. They printed out some directions we needed and also, answered all our questions satisfactorily and even showed us the room before we checked-in. We checked-in a day early and the hotel staff accommodated us for the same rate we got online. The hotel is also close to target and a few restaurants. We also had a good meal at a chinese restaurant nearby. The area (apart from the strip club) is busy and safe. I will probably stay there again when I am in San Diego. We saw many families with young children, visiting sea world stay there. I would recommend this place.

Carpets trun your feet and socks black!!!!!!!!!!!!! the most disgusting and dirty carpets i have ever seen. All of our feet and socks turned black. Not worth the 69$ a night we paid. Save your money
