Most Hampton Inns I've been to have been very clean and updated. This one is not; my first clue should have been at the door where the card reader is read - that was dusty and old looking. The bathroom was fairly clean but again old looking. Sometime during the night a black ant infestion/grouping started in the bathroom coming through the two walls near the toilet. The ants made several lines through the bathroom and to the coffee maker ... When I checked out, the person who I spoke to was indifferent. She acted like that was acceptable. I advised her that paying over $100 per night is quite a bit of money to pay for a room with ant infestation. Her response [and rudely, I might add] was, "What do you want!?" I will never stay there again.

Best hotel I have stayed in .

I have stayed in alot if different hotels in North Platte. This is the best by far. Being along I-80 I did not hear any of the traffic. I always have heard the traffic at the other places I have stayed. Will be coming back.

Convenient, Good Breakfast, Nice room, but price too high. Stayed four times in 2007 and price was raised twice. Will not choose Hampton for future stays in North Platte, NE. Will no longer choose Hampton Inn for any of our employee reservations.

Home away from home

I travel for business and when I'm in North Platte this is where I like to stay. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are always nice and clean and have recently been upgraded with 42 inch flat screen TV's. The rooms have a nice modern feeling as opposed to that old, musty feeling a lot of chain hotels have. The furniture isn't worn. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. From the managers and front desk staff to the housekeepers, the maintenance man, and the ladies who make breakfast, you always truly feel like a valued guest here. I would never have imagined a town this small could have a hotel with service this great! I was pleasantly surprised.

I never expceted that nice of a hotel to be located in such a small city. The experience is worth every penny. And the employees are just fantastic. They went out of there way to help and every thing.

Great stay

Great place it has free wireless internet, free breakfast and passes to a close by gym. Everything you would expect from a Hilton chain hotel.
