Better than Expected, Not Bad for the Price
Don't be discouraged by the look of the hotel from outside. The room inside was much better. The rooms next to mine were even better inside with newer and fancier furniture. Perhaps I was assigned to a $30 room as it was what I paid for. A couple told me they paid $65 for their room. Mine was online rate and their was walk-in rate. The room I had was roomy with all the basic things. It was clearly renovated with new upgrades. The beds were comfortable and the shower water was strong. The A/C worked fine. There were a fridge and a microwave which were helpful for long stay. There was a little round table and two chairs, convenient for eating in the room. There were also ironing board, iron (per request), coffee maker, and a grounded safe (optional for extra charge). I brought my own towels as I don't feel confortable using hotel towels. Hotel towels are never good enough for me, so I won't judge the towels. Free breakfast in the lobby, I was happy with hot oatmeal and coffee. Kids could eat cereal or bread/donut I guess. The location is great, very close to the Air Space Museun and lots of shops and eating places nearby. I would recommend checking out the Goodwill Outlet down the street, I was delighted to find a few 100 years old books for $0.65 per lb. and a 1963 typewriter for $5. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with my 10-year-old son who was attending a summer camp at the Air Space Museum. The hotel worked out fine for us.
