Typical Hampton Inn
By Frequent Guest, 02/27/09
I have stayed at the Tupelo Hampton Inn on 5 different business trips each lasting one week. It is a typical Hampton Inn and it always seems to be full or close to it. I will say that the breakfast lady is the greatest. Such a sweetheart!

Unexpected class!
By Marquita, 05/18/07
At first glance the hotel may look minimal but it has unexpected class. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and there were amenities that this Yahopo website does not give justice to. There is free wireles sinternet in all the rooms. The hotel does not have an onsite gym but they have free passes to a Wellness Center in Tupelo. The Continental breakfast has a vast variety of items, and there are fresh made cookies availablel every evening for snacks. Overall, it was more than I expected. I am going back next week.

it was awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
I reserved a room with double beds for the weekend of my daughters soccer tournament and when we (4 of us) arrived our room had one king bed. When I asked what happened they told me they had overbooked but they would send us a roll away. When the roll away never came I asked why and they said they ran out. My husband slept on the floor and me and my two children "slept" in the bed. They were not interested in us or our comfort and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Don't come here without ear plugs!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/05
Our unfortunate experience is probably due to timing more than anything else. While visiting friends and family for a college graduation, we chose the Hampton Inn of Tupelo, MS because of its convenient location and fair rates. Indeed location and rates were very good. Both nights of our stay, however, the noise level was intolerable! Other guests within the hotel were very noisy, banging on doors, running up and down the halls and shouting to friends in the parking lot. While this is something that can be expected to occur from time to time, the hotel's response was less than appropriate. Only after 4 calls to the office beginning at midnight and the last at 4:30am, was someone sent to ask these guests to calm down. Though we were reimbursed for one night's stay, we'd rather have had a good night's rest than our money back!
