Stay only at a condo!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/11
We rented a lodge with a kitchenette - this room was horrible! Only two of the four burners worked, the shower head had to be replaced as it was spitting all over the bathroom, the heater was ridulous, the carpeting was torn and dirty, the bathroom needed to be painted as it was rusty and the TV was above one of the beds! You either sweated or froze - there was no happy medium. This place NEEDS major upgrading. The second morning, I advised the office the stove didn't work. We came back in the afternoon and still not fixed. I went up to the office and let them know. They were going to move us to another room but that room's stove also didn't work. Three rooms later, i called the office and demanded a condo. The one we did get was clean and much better, spacious. Read the previous review on 11/28/11. Terrible!

Absolutely HORRIBLE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/11
We stayed (my husband and two boys) at the lodge. Actually, we didn't even stay one night it was so bad I took the loss of $200 from my deposit. It is very old and outdated. It smelled horrible! The "floorplan" of the room makes it appear that there is more room than there actually is. When you stepped in the door you are immediately confronted by the first bed right up against the window and AC unit (which isn't completely sealed from the outside) you take a couple more steps and are confronted with the two twin beds that are right on top of each other. The TV is hanging on the wall at the head of the second twin bed where not only can you not view the TV very well, but if you get up quickly you are apt to hit your head on the corner and wind up needing stitches. My husband tried to wash his hands in the bathroom sink and let the water run for a while, but it didn't get warm so I was concerned about hot water for showers. In the end we ended up forfeiting the deposit because we couldn't stomach the idea of staying even one night. We turned the heat on to try and warm up the small room. I was a little concerned about leaving it on while we were out because it was so close to the bed and the air came out so hot I was afraid it might start a fire. However it was so cold we did it anyway. When we came back a couple hours later the room was still chilly and the heating unit was off. Needless to say, it didn't matter at that point since we decided to leave. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. For the amount of money we paid (nearly $100/night after taxes) it wasn't even close to being considered a 1-star place. Additionally, the staff initially tried to tell us we were forfeiting all our money (including the $99 we paid upon arrival) even though their receipt clearly states the policiy of keeping the deposit. They eventually did refund us the $99 and we ate the nearly $200 deposit. We ended up finding another place that was what I would consider at least a 4-star which included a full breakfast for free as well as free dessert each night and it was only $54-64 night (before taxes) and the customer service was MUCH MUCH better.

Housekeeping was terrible
By Marsha, 9/1/11
It was pretty but the photos on their website are VERY misleading. Our shower curtains were moldy and nasty, the carpet had not been vaccuumed and the microwave door was broken off. The front office and maintenance were great. The front office called maintenance immediately and he came and fixed the microwave. He said housekeeping would have to take care of the shower curtains and assured us they would change them out the next day. They didn't. The jacuzzi on our end of the resort did not have hot water. Day 1 it was lukewarm and day 2 it was downright cold. Being able to swim off of the docks was pretty cool but that's about all I can recommend. The website claims to have "internet access" but what they fail to tell you is that it costs $10.00 a day for that service. We will NOT be back.

"Our a/c didn't work and they didn't care."
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/5/11
First of all, the photos on the internet are very old. It does not look like the pictures. Not maintained, from hot tub not working to missing trim in bathroom with black stuff showing and swing set about to fall down when 6 year old (43#) swinging on it. There also is no a/c in game room. Our cottage a/c unit not working, so they came and scraped black stuff off filter, then it worked okay. Even though we couldn't sleep the 1st 2 nights due to sweating, they said they would not compensate us and the lady in office was very rude about it. No wonder they ask for the balance upon check in. Don't believe their website description or photos.

Never Again
By Ann, 1/30/10
I booked one of the cottages in front and it was nasty, very small and a musty smelling with old dirty carpet. One look and I knew my family could not stay there. So I upgraded to a condo. It was nice but very pricey .We never had enough towels and no internet connection. I would have stayed else where but would have lost my somewhat large deposit. They should be ashamed to do business in such a matter.

The worst place I ever stayed
By Karen B, 8/26/09
We stayed in one of the Victorian Cottages at Indian Point and was very disappointed with the accodmations. The shower head had rust, the wall paper had stains all over it, the carpet was old and smelly and the place could stand painting. Management should be a shame to even rent these places. This was our first visit to Branson and we will go back but we will never stay here again.

I will never go back!
By Tatum, 5/5/08
This resort had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! We went with our girlscout troop and we were treated very badly as were a number of other troops who stayed on the same weekend. We were yelled at for getting the owner out of bed because we called the office for towels! There were 8 towels and we were staying in a cabin for 20. Others were promised firewood and never got it, the pool was dirty, None of the games in the arcade worked, the whole staff was very rude. I have never seen an owner treat his customers so poorly! I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

The Village Condos, terrific
By CarolineY, 5/10/07
I have never been in a condo so well equiped. DVDs, books, magazines, games, fireplace, nice electric grill on porch overlooking the lake. They even had toothpicks in a drawer. We stayed in Bldg. 8, condo 10 and it was emmaculate. Sharing with another couple it only cost $62.00 a piece a night. Right down the road from Silver Dollar City, you can't beat the location and taking the back route it was easy to get into Branson.

Living along the Lake
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/19/07
I stayed at both the condo and the cabins and they are very nice. They have ones with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and great views! They are clean and the staff is very helpful.

We're comming back
By Alan, 7/8/06
My wife and I liked everything about the place. We stayed at Trails End in one of the one bedroom cabins. The first time we had our niece and hephews. They just loved it. The second time we brought anothe nephew. We couldn't keep him away from the water. He loves to fish. The rental bass boat was great, so much that we rentented one twice. We are really looking forward to comming down again this year. It's location is great for Silver Dollar City and close to Branson West for shopping.
