Best time ever!!
By Myranda, 2/25/12
We loved everything about the hotel. The family raft was awesome. My favorite part of the whole trip was.........everything! I loved the wave pool and surf simulator. I would give this hotel a five star out of five. We already made reservations for this year! We will be back to enjoy the fun.

Can't wait to go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/11
We went Wed-Fri. Check in was less than 15 minutes. Parkign was simple to find. Our room was very clean and enormous!! We got a back to school package for $149 which included 4 waterpark passes. Only negative was the locker rental. Keys were on one side of the park and lockers were on the other. My 6 and 8 year old absolutely LOVE IT! I think I had as much fun as they did. If we can find the same packae next year we will for sure be back!!!!

Terrible and filthy water park
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/25/11
We went to Water Park of America for the first time this past Saturday. I was surprised when I was required to pay full price for my two year old twins. There were 4 adults and a 4 year old so that added up quite quickly, and for just a few hours in the afternoon to be honest we felt ripped off. We were told that the babies could do pretty much everything except the body slides. Once there I was so disappointed at the locker room, FILTHY and with no room to walk around or get undressed, and to make matters worse, one had to walk across the water park from the locker room to get a security box key. With kids imagine how difficult this can be. The locker room is way to small to accommodate the guests at the park, and it only has two private dressing areas. Once we finally managed to get out we soon realized that there were not enough tubes for the water activities and people would hold on to the tubs even if they were not in the water and nobody would do anything about this. Again with small children this becomes a huge challenge. When we managed to get to the tub slides we were told the twins could not get on, we told the people we were told they could and with resistance let us in. It was impossible to to this ride often because the lines to wait for the tubes was too long. Then for us adults once we managed to leave the kids with one of us we found that the two body slides in the mid level were closed..... went back to get the kids and the line for the big tub ride was ridiculous. Again we could only do it once because the twins (again 2 years old) could not resist the wait. We found this to be terrible in logistics, way too overpriced. Our twins should have not paid full price, not even half would have been fair. You cannot expect smaller children to use the bigger rides with lack of tubes and wait times. to put this in perspective. We have season passes at Valley fair which cost $60 each and my twins do not pay to go in until they turn 3 and at the reduced child rate (so next summer). this gives us access to the full park with water slides included and Vally scare and parking for the whole summer. And I hope mgmt does something about how trashed the park was inside and outside the park, filth everywhere. Talk to more local friend and all have told us we should have asked them and they would have warned us, they told us they also would never go back. I think this park/hotel does not care about repeat customers. Do not waist your money!

Would never recommend!
By TiffanyT, 9/30/09
I stayed there at the end of August. First thing is that it was way over priced and the water park is NOT included. Second is that I was paying with cash and gift cards, cannot pay that way until you check OUT of the hotel. I checked out of the hotel and a few days later was CHARGED $50.00 for one of the gift cards instead of credited. Had so many problems that they sent me a certificate to stay again for free. Guess what??? I was charged $50.00. I called to see what the charge was and the first person said it was the cost of the room (that's a joke, I wouldn;t complain if the room rate was only $50.00), The second person said that it should have been charged to a "house" account and it was accidentally charged to my credit card... Hmmm let me see, 2 times I stayed there and 2 times was charged $50.00 that I shouldn't have been. Besides being over charged, the room had red stains all over the carpet and the light in the entry of the room was burnt out. Would NEVER stay there again or recommend it! The water park is GREAT! Will go back there anytime.

I will never go there again!
By Bryan, 6/22/09
First off, don’t ever buy a gift card for here; you get treated as if you are second rate and the money is too. The gift card is not worth anything until you check out or buy something, and you still need to pay with a credit card up-front for your room and incidentals. (Whatever that is? Or should they just say damage deposit for us with gift cards.) Second, after the 45 minutes it took to check in, I was told to park in the lot outside, so I asked about the underground parking listed on the wall behind the desk, I was told “no” it was $10 more, like I couldn’t afford it! Trying to make the best out of it and not to bring the kids down we went to our room changed and went to the water park. Which was still another problem on its own? You get 4 passes with the room and we had 5 of us, so I had to buy an extra. No big deal right? Wrong, the gift card machine was down and I had to wait even more until finally they just gave me the extra pass all upset and mad at me like I reached over the counter and broke it? At the park we were trying to have fun and play with the kids and just hang out and relax after the whole experience. I and my wife were sitting in a water raft going around, when we saw a child with a injured toe, bleeding and dripping everywhere. The person that came out to help him pulled up a chair and sat him down and started to help him over a bridge and blood was dripping into the water we were swimming in! That was more than I could take so we gathered up our kids and went back to our room. After hours of swimming we decided to order room service and put the kids down for the night. When the food came I was asked to sign for it, and it would go on our gift card, yet about a half hour later we got a phone call telling us that the card machine was still down and that they were going to put it on my credit card instead. The whole idea why we went there was because of the gift card! After 10 minutes or more on the phone with them, I was told they would run it in the morning after the machine was fixed and there tills would not balance out, because of me. (Like I was the problem, again?) I was happy to see that we at least had a Sleep Number Bed to sleep on, but wait, there are more problems, the display didn’t work on the remote. I set the bed to my liking and I woke up in the middle of the night with the bed half deflated! So needless to say I didn’t get a good night’s sleep and when I got up to make coffee in the morning I realized it was never refilled, and the old coffee grinds and filter was left in the coffee pot! The kids wanted to go back to the park and play, so we went to check out of our room and spoke to the management at the desk, trying to explain my horrible stay; since their policy and signs all over said Satisfaction Guaranteed. She proceeded to ask me why I didn’t call down when it was happening (shouldn’t the rooms be clean and re-stocked prior to my arrival) or when we first observed it so she could of made it right. Even though she was the one that checked me in and got me the extra wrist band that I was complaining about, like I was an idiot? The kids played for the morning and then we got hungry so we thought to go to the restaurant to use up the rest of the gift card, so we wouldn’t have to ever go back! Guess what? If you guessed poor service you were right! We sat down and started to talk with the waiter about all the troubles we had with the gift card and everything else. So he asked me to see the card to make sure it worked and then took our order and ran the card before our food came out! He asked me to sign it when he brought out our drinks! Then treated us like we were all thieves for the rest of the meal. As for the building, there was a Kool-Aid stain on the wall in our room, in the elevator the carpet was duct taped down in a corner and there was graffiti on the walls as well. There was poor maintenance and up keeping, to say it nicely.

You can pay less and get more elsewhere!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/09
The hotel and waterpark where grossly understaffed, underequiped and overcrowded. Check in and check out times; only had one or two persons working the front counter. Hotel was very loud. Try to call the front desk by pushing the "front desk" button on the phone; it doesnt work. None of the speed dial buttons worked. The bed creeked and cracked every time you moved. Sounded like it was falling apart. The shuttle bus driver was the best thing the hotel had. Very courteous (which was tough to find in Minnesota or at least at the Radisson) and helpful. Save yourself some money and frustration... go somewhere else.

A Giant Slot Machine But With No Chance To Win!
By Brandon Turner, 3/3/09
The first thing is even though youve payed for a room you have to pay extra for the waterpark which is $29.99 a person and its so crowded you cant even enjoy yourself. There is a $100.00 a night damage deposit on the room which for me costed $300 dollars cause i stayed 3 nights and that took 2 weeks for it to be reimbursed. Check in was crazyness and the staff has no life to them. The restaraunt was expensive and the arcade is always shutdown. Wet kids running around the hotel with no supervision constantly and prepare to get soaked from them in the elevators. The parking situation is another story and i wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy thats how bad this place is there are plenty of nicer hotels by mall of america with free swimming dont stay here i beg you!!!!!

shouldve done my homework!
By ubon, 2/19/09
I have a 5 and a 9 year old and i think they were more stressed then me. Check in was exhausting took almost 2 hours. Once i got to the front desk they made me feel like i was a burden to them and trying to get to the room was like trying to get through a mosh pit at a concert. All night long kids running back and and forth jumping and screaming and the floors soaked from hurds of kids. Between the expensive restaraunt, gift shop and ridiculus parking it was a bad experience and serving alcohol in the waterpark was a dislike its a place for kids not drunks.
