It was very pleasant!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/08
I thought that the rooms were very nice, having a balcony and a sliding door made it enjoyable since the air is so clean. The one thing I will complaint about is that I had my room for myself and my 2-nieces had their own room next to me and on the 2nd night one of the beds has bed bugs, but I wasn't told about it until we were coming down the hill. So they slept together!

Nice and In the Village
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/29/08
Hotel Rooms were nice and clean. Room service was quick and food was good. My only complaint was that the hotel was too warm!! Waaayyy to warm. I feel sorry for the vacationers that will be staying here in the summer. It was snowing when me and my boyfriend went and we left our window open to cool our room off! Oh and i almost forgot...bring your own pillows...the pillows were paper thin! Other than that everything was great. Front desk was pleasant and location is perfect.

cheesy and too expensive for nothing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/08
Location from resorts was awesome -5 minute drive to mountain ski resorts, although parking at the resorts can be a pain, so it would have been nice to have a shuttle that leaves right from the hotel to the mountain. Cheesy surroundings and decor, very clean though. Attendant behind front desk was not helpful at all. Way too expensive for what you get. What you see and what you get is similar to a 1-2 star motel, not a ranked 5-star.

Got Food Poisoning?
Ate dinner at Northwoods, got sick, other people got sick and the only meal we shared was at Northwoods, so it was definitely them. When we complained, they didn't do anything to help us and didn't contact any municipal or county people, so we had to do that ourselves. And they were just awful about helping us with any of it, because they didn't do anything except deny they were responsible.

Awesome Get-A-Way!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/07
A wonderful suite that took-up two rooms overlooking the pool. The cabin theme, separate living and sleeping area were clean and comfortable. Romanic, family oriented and extremely relaxing atmosphere. A must to return.

Great amenities for the price
By chuckr, 03/04/06
We loved our two night stay in room 449 (a suite). The hotel has a true rustic feel without comprimising in cleanliness, service or comfort. We had a fireplace in our room, jaccuzi tub, kitchenette, King bed, beautiful views - all for about $250 a night. Compared to most of the other hotel offerings around Big Bear, this is a cut above.
