staff were so good, i never knew the big surprise and was so cool to get applause from the other patrons when i said yes! My ring was under a sugar spun dome presented under a full moon in December on the veranda!
 
 
 
 
 
Special occasion

Woodlands is an excellent place to take your spouse for an overnight or several day trip on an special occasion.It is in the city but in a wooded area isolated from the traffic.It is close enough to Charleston,SC and surrounding gardens for day trips. The rooms are in a relatively small Inn but have all the modern convencies including a gas fireplace in the room. The food is pricie but excellent.The service was also very good in the dinning room and specializes in low country dishes.The dinners can be included in package prices for savings.Tea in the afternoon is included.

Woodlands Retreat

My wife and I spent a fun-filled weekend at the Woodlands with a group of friends. The room (attic bridal suite) was perfect and the food was excellent. We walked the grounds, had a cocktail party in one of the parlors and a rock 'n roll dance out in the garden building. Service was excellent. Bicycling to the nearby village was also fun.
