Comfort Inn Lone Pine, Lone Pine

We stayed in Nov. 2008. It was nice enough at the time. Not really walking distance to the center of Lone Pine, but newer than the hotels that are in town. Nice views out of the front rooms. I don't remember it being particularly noisy, but maybe we got lucky.

First impression walking down the hallway was stained carpets that were not vacuumed. When we opened the door to our room it was not better. Room was filthy and was not clean or vacuumed. We called the front desk to have them come up and vacuum. Then to make matters worse the AC did not work and it was 100 degrees outside and they did not have anybody that could fix it. Then we go out for a dip in the pool and dirty and cloudy. The motel was booked full but I dont know how so we ended up leaving and going to another clean motel. The only bright spot was the front desk staff was very polite and nice. My only conclusion is the Management at this location is simply Horrible. Do not go here you can do better.

First of all, the rooms are clean and spacious and the location is good, but...the refrigerator had to be turned off because of how loudly it ran, the plumbing is terrible and you can hear all your neighbors when they're in the bathroom. The walls, ceiling, and floors are thin and you can hear your neighbors. The doors slam shut. They only have one person at the front desk at night, so you can't get much help. When the wind blew hard, which it does in Lone Pine often, the bathroom vent rattled. They didn't compensate us at all after complaining and telling them when we checked out 'early'. We didn't get much sleep at all for two nights and had to cut our trip short. We weren't going to pay for another night of 'no sleep!'
