Quality Inn Natchitoches, Natchitoches

My husband and I came to visit Natchitoches and stayed at the Quality Inn. We had stopped staying here when it was Country Hearth because of the manager, Mark, but came back when we learned there was a new manager, Tracy Page. The customer service was exceptional and the new staff is everything a guest could ask for. This hotel is so much better now that it is under new management.

I stayed the night on August 16, 2008 and while there with my wife and two small children, we saw the manager, Mark, and one of the desk clerks fighting with some people that I assumer were customers. I actually witnessed the desk clerk grab a nice young lady around the neck and begin choking her. The lady just stood there asking her why she was choking her. I also saw Mark grab a gentleman in the lobby as if he were going to hit him and then this nice young lady who was there had to step in between them to stop Mark from hitting him. Mark then pushed the lady. I was afraid the my children were going to be injured. This is no place to bring a family, that's for sure. I will NEVER go back to this motel again and I have stayed here more times than I can count. We stayed here several times a year as we traveled from Dallas to New Orleans and we loved to visit Natchitoches. We will stay elsewhere from now on.

I made a reservation with the Comfort Inn in Natchitoches, LA last week for my wife to stay there. The price quoted was $67.?? for Wednesday evening November 29th. I called yesterday afternoon while she was traveling to the location and the lady answering the phone verified the rate and reservation. When my wife arrived the lady told my wife the rate had changed (increased). The manager, Mark, walked by and smirked that this was still a discounted rate and continued walking by into another room - did not even have the courtesy to discuss matter with my wife. Natchitoches has a festival the first weekend in December and they increase the rate for the event. Even though this event is held every year at the same time it does not excuse them from not honoring the reservation rate originally quoted. I have stayed at this location many times over the past years (probably around 100 times) and recommended the location to others that have stayed there. I am very disappointed in there action. I tried calling the manager, Mark, to discuss this several times since this occurred yesterday evening and he would not answer the phone. Clarke Van Sickle
