Driftwood Motel, Port Aransas

At first we thought that this was going to be a good trip to Port A but then from the very moment we got there it went down hill. First of all the hotel was EXTREAMLY over priced, you deffinatly don't get what you pay for there. The breakfast is bad it looks like yesterdays food. Very dirty the second day we were there the bed were made and there were stains on the pillow cases and blood spots on the sheets right after house keeping came. They replaced a towel that was clearly already used. I will NEVER go back I might as well have stayed on the beach...I highly would recommend anywere but here.

We rented a kitchenette that had a stove, fridge, pots & pans. However, no microwave was in the room. The room was dirty and the bedding looked dirty, too.

This was a great motel in a neat little town. The motel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It has a great location, just up the road from the beach and close to shops. It was one of the cheapest places to stay there and it has to be one of the best! I have not a single complaint about the place. Would highly recommend to anybody wanting to travel to Port Aransas! I did have an issue with them charging my card although my mom paid for the room with her card which I didn't notice until I came back to the real world and checked my account on Saturday. The issue was resolved on Monday! I don't think you could go wrong staying here!

The people in the office told us our room would be ready at 3. We arrived at 3:30 to find our room still dirty from the people before us. The office did not even try offering us another room, instead they rudely offered us a refund. Plus, they have an advertisement posted outside the hotel for a reasonable price, but when you get inside they increase that price $20 to $30. I go to Port Aransas every summer and this was the most unaccommodating and worst costumer service I have ever experienced on the island.

In January, with most of the crowds gone, this is a lovely place to be; and the motel is centrally located. We had a small refrigerator, cable TV, and friendly service.
