Comfort Inn Winfield, Winfield

This hotel is remodeled and absolutely stunning. I've never seen a nicer Comfort Inn. Visited Family in Ark City and will come to Winfield to stay. Ark City hotels are nasty, even after their 'remodeled Regency'. Comfort Inn is the place to stay when coming to this part of the country. The scrambled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit and mixed frut and biscuits and gravy, TOPS. Nice staff too! Stay here!~

I liked Comfort Inn because of the low price and great service and location. Being right next door to the golf course was fantastic, and to the Ridge resturant which ahs excellent food. I reccomend the Comfort Inn to any guest!

If you have allergies you would be better off sleeping in the woods than staying in a room at this hotel. Both my children had a major reaction to the frangrance in the room and had to take breathing treatments. The frangrance in the lobby was so strong we had to eat our breakfest outside. The staff wasn't friendly and extremely rude!!!! We travel on a monthly basis and I have never had an experience this bad. The manager is never to be found and the staff have no idea what is going on in the hotel.

4 months prior to staying, reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds each. Upon arrival they gave us 2 rooms with 1 bed in each. Hotel was sold out ...so were rollaways ...so we got to sleep on the floor. They offered no remedy and even were bold enough to say maybe it was our mistake. Pathetic lack of management.

I made reservations for 2 people for three nights on Oct. 11. Was quoted a price of 89.99. When checking on the reservation the day of the 16th no reservation was found, there weree no rooms available at all on the 3rd day, and the price was more than doubled Since the hotel had messed up I suggested a variance on the room price. There were no adjustments offered by them. I had to call 3 other motels just to find a place to stay. I should have paid attention to the other reviewers that had problems with this hotel.

I had reservations, that I had to cancel the day before, because I had a car accident and couldn't travel. I spoke with Theresa, who informed me that she was going to still charge me, because I didn't give a 48 hour notice. Forgive me for not having a wreck sooner! The nice girl at customer service tried to get her to cancel it, and she refused, was rude to her too, and told her that I can't prove it anyway, which I can. I make reservations for a living and have NEVER been treated like this. This is a hotel that I will never use again, thanks to Theresa.

Had a CONFIRMED reservation, made in February by our travel agent. When we arrived Friday, June 29, shortly after 3:00 P.M., we were summarily told our reservation had been cancelled! Reason--our credit card was declined. First story was they called our home Thursday evening, left a message and we were belittled because we didn't check our messages! No, I didn't--we were on a short vacation trip! Later in the conversation with the manager, she said she called Friday morning!! Which was it, I asked. I checked for my messages--no messages at all on the ans machine. They did give us a room, but at a $15.00/night higher rate! They also did this to several of my wife's classmates who booked through the same travel agent, who gave up her commission so we could get the best rate! We all also booked through the agent so we could have free use of at least one of the meeting rooms. Manager did not honor that committment either--finally negotiated the price for the meeting rooms down to $65.00, BUT when the person who used the meeting rooms went to check out Sunday (he stayed at the motel also) he was charged $125.00 per use! What a rip off. The travel agent also stayed there and attempted several times to meet with the manager--she ignored her completely. She did have an appt for 9:00 A.M Monday morning, when we all checked out, but we left before that time so don't know if it came off or not. I would avoid this place at all costs--it is not worth the hassle!

Situated next door to a great golf course. The rooms have been remodeled and are absolutely beautiful. Well worth the money for your stay.
