Loved it!
By Cindy~Lou, 09/27/09
This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I stayed for six days, and sorry to say, but we didn't see or hear anything unusally. I guess Seth was resting well that week. We've stayed at top notch Atlantic City hotels, but this place in Deadwood SD has got them all beat. There are so many places in the US and South Dakota has got to be the most amazing place. There is so much to see and do, Devil's Tower (WY), the Badlands (must see), Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse...the list goes on. And this Hotel is right in the center of it all. I can not recommend enough to stay at the Historic Bullock (not to be confused with the Bullock Express)

The history of the area comes alive
By Cynthia, 09/12/09
The people were very friendly, well you had to warm up the bar tender. The room was one from the past and the history filled the air. But, if you are a fan of modern, cookie cutter motels this may not be your place. We found the creakiness charming. Lovely town with lovely people. Would highly recommend a stay on real main street to all.

Very pleasantly surprised.
By Casey, 07/24/09
My sister and i took our mom there for her 93rd birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly, room was BIG with teh high ceilings and solid wood doors and windows...loved it. Mom was in a wheelchair and there was plenty of room to get around altho w/c and carpeting never get along. Hey, they even gave free bottled water! Would definitely stay again, but do wish it hadn't been so expensive in peak season.

Very Fun and interesting Ghost.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/09
Liked the workers they were very nice. We stayed in 2008. If we are able to go back I would love to stay there again. Mr. Bullock did visit our room in the middle of the night. I felt him sitting on the edge of the bed. Then felt him get up! Really! No harm done. Just added to the experience of the hotel. Deadwood is really a neat place.

Had A Great time
By Dawn H, 04/28/09
My husband and I just spent 2 nights at the Bullock Hotel. We had a great time, the room was nice the food was good. We did the haunted tour on Friday night. That was very interesting. We had a few occurances of our own. Cameras didn't work, orbs on our pictures. Will definitely go back. Ft. Dodge Iowa

A great experience!
By DocChuck, 09/09/08
We recently spent two nights at the Bullock Hotel and, with one exception, we REALLY enjoyed our experience. That exception was that they did not have a "non-smoking" room available and we had to settle for a "smoking" room. Although they did their best to eliminate the disgusting cigarette smoke smell, it was still strong in the bedding and in the bathroom. Other than that, the experience was delightful. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The breakfast served at "Bullys" was a good value and was prepared and served by a very friendly lady with a very good attitude. We didn't see any "ghosts" but that was OK by us. A great experience, and if we return to Deadwood, you can bet that we will be staying at the Bullock Hotel. DocChuck and his wife, Doctor E. Columbia, Maryland

Up All Night Long
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/08
Absolutely loved the hotel and the people working there were very friendly. Our last night was very scary as the ghosts of the hotel visited our room. They must have enjoyed us because they were there most of the night. Our room was on the 2nd floor towards the back of the hotel. It was incredible and I would do it again.

We will be back!
By Brandi, 02/23/08
I love the location of this hotel. It is located at the end of the strip, and therefore in perfect walking distance from all the casinos that we wanted to visit. No bother with driving and parking, or waiting for the trolley to take you where you want to go! The room was a bit small, but I know that there are much bigger rooms in the hotel, besides all you are doing is sleeping there anyway!!!

Wonderful Time, We are going back!
By Dakota, 01/25/08
The People were just great! We stayed for our 8th Anniversary and had a great time. Our room was on the second floor just under the Bullock Suite. ( I`m told ) Twice We heard loud knocking at our door as we got ready to shower, when I looked out, there was no one there. I called down to the desk and asked if any of the staff had visited our room and the answer was NO! Kinda spooky! Like I said... Wonderful time and We are going back for our 10th Anniversary. ( this time We are dressing in our 1880`s outfits! ) Curry Bill & Miss Deb

Great Place!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/07
We just went to the Bullock Hotel (11/07), we did not stay there, but we did some slots, and took the haunted ghost tour. It is the "Best $3. spent in Deadwood". Very interesting, and we did get weird things that happened to us during and after the tour. Do a little Deadwood history before you go, makes it more interesting, and read the stories they have there in the lobby and see the pictures that people have sent in from their stay there..... very strange, and interesting!!! Worth every penny!!
