Gorgeous Views - Lovely rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/11
Wendy and Wayne, We so enjoyed the overnight stay in your homey, comfortable lodge. We felt right at home with your campfire and lovely room. The quilts on the beds add a nice feel to your rooms. Thanks for your hospitality!

Just like family!
We loved staying at the Lodge. It was like no other motel we have stayed at. It was more like staying at a bed and breakfast or Grandmas. The rooms were very clean and cozy with quilts on the beds and knotty pine on the walls. The whole atmosphere was so relaxing. The owners were like family and so loving and easy to talk to. The view in the back was so unexpected. People pay to see views like this. There was music in the backround and a fountain and even a fire pit. All of this with the view made it such a blessing to be there. Guests even gathered around the fire pit to socialize. It was fun getting to know others and talk about where they were from. This is definatley on our list of places to stay.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/11
The view is outstanding and the outdoor seating area is very layed back. We were welcomed with warm hospitality by owners, Wendy and Wayne. We truly appreciated our clean and updated room. For those who live within easy driving distance, Saluda Mountain Lodge would be a great weekend de-stresser. For those who need to drive further, it is worth the effort!

A Truly Restful Place to Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/11
We LOVED our stay at the Saluda Mountain Lodge. We had connecting rooms with our four young children which allowed for a real restful night sleep. The cleanliness of the rooms was refreshing to just relax and not fear the unknown. There was a spirit of warmth and peace which allowed us to relax as if we were staying with a favorite family member verses just a hotel room. AND then there is the VIEW.........We woke up and made a cup of coffee in our room then went out the back door to sit and relax and enjoy a perfect summer morning in the mountains. The open blue sky above the mountains completely over took all thoughts of reality. I have not stayed at a more perfectly relaxing, clean, and hospitable lodge hotel or cabin.

Another world! Terrific little place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/11
This little place is what a hotel should be: Clean, easy to find, inexpensive, wonderful owners who actually seem to genuinely care about making your stay as fun as possible, and extraordinary views!!! (The chocolates were a nice touch.) I don't think I've ever had a better night's sleep-ever. I stopped after 8 hours on the road and I never wanted to leave. I'll be back with my family for a week-long stay. The perfect place to relax....

Simply Awesome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/11
This is a gorgeous place with amazing views from the front and back of the lodge. The customer service is excellent. You can tell the owner really cares about the guests and the lodge. Awesome knotty pine interior and breathtaking sunsets over the Green River Gorge.

A Diamond in the rough! Fantastic!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/11
This place is an undiscovered jewel! Located right off I-26 at exit 59 in Saluda, NC, The Lodge is perched right on the rim of the spectacular Green River Gorge, and the views are AMAZING! Their mountain-view courtyard is simply transcendent. You'd never know that you're just .2 miles from the interstate. Tranquil, serene, and awe-inspiring. I could take in that view for hours. Accompanied by soft music in the background and birds singing all around, the courtyard is a truly special place. A must-see if you're within 50 miles. The Lodge is basically a recently renovated single-story motel with 25 rooms, and all of the rooms have been decorated in a woodsy, mountain-lodge motif. Very charming, very warm, very comfortable. Personal touches abound. From the afternoon chocolates to coffee-makers to tea and lemonade in the breezeway, the owners Wayne and Wendy go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and important. They live on premises and make sure their guests are happy and content. Plus, the conversations around the fire pit were engrossing, to say the least. In short, the Saluda Mountain Lodge is a rare find. Combine the intimacy of a bed-and-breakfast with park-at-your-door convenience, add the spectacular views and unmatched hospitality of the owners (not to mention their prices are too low! Don't tell them!), and you have a rare jewel indeed. Highly recommended! PS. Close to world-class rafting/tubing/kayaking on the famed Green River, Biltmore House, Chimney Rock/Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and of course, charming Saluda.
