Bavarian Ritz, Leavenworth

We stayed in the best room(royal king jacuzzi).after checking in and walking up stairs the hallway was filthy. I had to keep letting the wife out of the bathroom because the door sticks, the floor in the bathroom is real slick wearing socks. Only a few of the jets worked in the jacuzzi and no adjustments for the jets(sign says only turn on or off). The floor from room to room was uneven. The little deck looked like it would fall if you went out there. the fake electric fireplace sounded like a wheel was rubbing. The bed was real nice but too high. It's above a tavern and real loud at night. For the money I spent(350.00) I felt like I got ripped off.

The website was misleading. We stayed in their "best" room. I agree the furniture was new, however the room was filthy. The windowsills had food and cobwebs on them and the posterbed was high above the ground and you could see no one ever cleaned underneath. The toiliet in the room did not work and we had to manually turn on and off the water. I tried to complain and was told a maintenance man was called. Later that evening no one ever showed up and when we inquired the next morning, no one was around. The only other guests we saw stated they would also never stay again. I called my credit card company to dispute and they replied to the credit card company that I was a liar and I was in the most luxurious room and the toliet was fixed promptly. I should have just let the water continually runa nd flood the room. Not only did they not do anything, they then lied. I believe the owner has never stayed in a run down Howard Johnsons before, that would have been more luxurious that what we went through. Stay clear and don't even try to stay here.

You can't beat the location,but from there the experience went down hill fast. This hotel anchors one end of the picture book town of Leavenworth, but that doesn't make it your best option. We were upgraded to a hot tub room, which we thought was nice, until we filled the tub and turned it on and had a ball of hair come out of the jets. The suite looks like 3 boarding house rooms cobbled together, one containing the overly soft queen bed with a head board that was mostly detatched from the bed frame and had to be padded with a pillow to keep it from banging every time we rolled over. The second was a sitting room, with fake electric fireplace, and the only heating/cooling control in the suite, and the third was the bathroom/jacuzzi with warped fake wood flooring that was dangerously slippery when wet. The view was of the empty lot next door which looked as if it had been a park/picnic area, but was now being used to store junk. If you are looking for a piece of history(read old and delapidated), without regard to quality or value, this is your place.

I found this hotel on Yahoo, trying to find a place to stay for our anniversary. Checked their website they had pictures what seems like very nice rooms. So I called and booked the Jacuzzi King Deluxe. When we got there was the champagne and beautiful bouquet of flowers, and chocolate and a nice anniversary card as promised in their romantic package. But the room itself was beautiful, the bed was magnificent, the Jacuzzi was great, they have very expensive comforter on the bed. And they gift certificate for the Ally café dinner was the perfect choice for us. It was the right choice for the occasion. We hope to make back there in the summer.

We stayed at the Bavarian Ritz in downtown Leavenworth Washington lat February in their Sweet Dreams room. The room was clean, and it had all the amenities needed. The location was great we didn’t even need to get into the car in the three days we stayed there. The staff was very helpful whenever we needed suggestions what to do. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Booked 2 nights (March 2006). Sweet Dreams Deluxe upgraded room, $119/night. Room smelled like wet dogs (guess that is why they put incense in the room). Refrigerator didn't work. Girl at the desk dropped a replacement off for us to put in. It worked, but was full of mold, so we cleaned it out. The "bigger fireplace" as the web site describes, was one of those cheap electric models (sort of looked like a flame...). View of the mountains from the sun deck was offset by the garbage strewn all over the parking lot/dumpster right below. OK, no big deal. We've all had bad rooms before, we'll stick out one night. When we went to check out the next morning, the girl at the desk said she would have to charge us for the second night. I demanded to speak to the owner. He told me over the phone that the room was acceptable to everyone else, and was going to charge us for the 2nd night. Get this...because we didn't give him the required 72 hour cancellation notice!!!! Unbelievable...
