A night ruined
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/08
My husband and I recently just got married and we were planning on having a great night, but the hotel is right next to a few bars and boy are they loud. The owners are rude!!!!! And it was just a waste of money... I will never tell my friends to go there!!!!

We loved our stay! We'll be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/16/07
The first thing I have to say about the Majestic, is that they have the upmost supurb service. When we arrived, we had been denied hotel rooms from multiple hotels because my Husband forgot the credit card, the lady was such a sweetheart that they let us leave a security deposit with cash to be able to stay there! A place like that doing that for us, but yet best western and Hotel 6 wouldnt let us do that! I loved my room location, it was the Queen Suite, I believe. The beds were heavenly and very clean. The bathroom was just awesome! We could see the water from our balcony. The local dining is delicious and reasonable. Great Location in all aspects! You should definitely give 'er a try! We will DEFINITELY be back again!

Wonderful Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/06
My girlfriends and I decided to throw our dearest friend a baby shower at Anna's Restaurant at The Majestic Inn & Spa. We were so pleased we did. We worked with their Food & Beverage Director on a planned menu, since our party was for 20 people. Lunch was served in their beautiful Garden Room which we had all to ourselves. On the menu was our choice of Chicken, Spinach, and Mushroom Crepes with Asiago Cheese sauce or Grilled Salmon, both served with their wonderful house salad. Food and service was superb and so was the timing of the courses. We brought a cake which they cut and served after the meal. Everyone who attended said it was the nicest Baby Shower they had ever been to. My husband and I dine there often and always love the food, service and atmosphere. There isn't anything we don't love about this hotel, spa (try the Rainy Day Retreat package) and Restaurant!

good but TOO EXPENSIVE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/06
I often stay in Anacortes because of my husband's job at the refinery and I decided to act as sort of a tour guide. Magestic Inn and SPA Dislikes: *too expensive. places to stay in town that are just as luxurious, but only difference is they are AFFORDABLE *NOT FOR FAMILIES *small parkinglot Likes: *spa *restaurants nearby *clean *wonderful staff

Noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
My husband and I visited the Majectic Inn recently to attend a wedding. It is a beautiful historic building. Our room however was on the small side, and it felt very crowded with just the two of us, though it was comfortable. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the baby crying next door, we could hear whole conversations through the walls and the water running and toliets flushing in the rooms around us. Not exactly a peaceful nights sleep. Request a room that doesn't face the street because of the noise from the bars as well. We wished we had stayed all three nights at the Cap Sante Inn a few blocks down the street, where our room was huge in comparison and quiet (though it didn't have a flat screen tv, which who really needs while their on vacation). However, I will say that the service and assitance everywhere was top notch.

BAD BAD BAD
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
My Mom and I had lunch on Saturday 8/ 06 at your restaurant. It was without a doubt the worst soup and sandwich we have ever had. We both ordered soup of the day which was Tomato Basil and ½ of a Tuna Sandwich . The soup arrived lukewarm, the sandwich arrived on what could only be described as week old wheat bread that was as hard as a wood plank. It appeared to be a tablespoon of tuna salad slopped in the middle of the bread and nobody could be bothered to spread it out on the bread. The soup was not even as tastefull as Campbell’s Tomato Soup and we detected not a hint of Basil. The meal was a huge disappointment and disgusting. The service was non existent as we waited 10 minutes for anyone to even recognize we were there. We will not be back and you should be ashamed to serve such bad food for such a high price. DQ would have been a better choice for our lunch. ML Johnson

Nothing but positives
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/06
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Majestic Inn and Spa on a weeknight before taking the Washington State Ferry over to San Juan Island for a couple of days. I have nothing but great things to say...hotel was very easy to find, easy parking, beautifully restored building. The person at the front desk was cheerful and helpful. We stayed in one of the nicest rooms by choice (special occasion) and it was great. A small balcony overlooking the surrounding water, a great 2-person tub and great shower, wonderful bathroom, a great seating area and counter/sink/fridge, awesome bed, and all of the right electronics. The robes topped it all off. Extremely romantic and comfortable. We also had a drink at the bar, which is really nice, and ate at the restaurant...had oysters appetizer, scallops and a fish special that all were excellent and a great bottle of wine. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. I understand it is hard to get a room on the weekend there, so book in advance, or plan to take off an spend a weeknight there like we did before doing something else. It was the highlight of our trip.

An unexpected delight
By Timothy, 06/13/06
The decor was sublime, the service unobtrusive, unselfconscious and spot-on, the rooms comfortable, clean and very pleasing to the senses. We have traveled all over the world, and the Majestic is one of our favorite hotels.
