Shady Oaks Motel, Roseburg

Way back to Washington froM California, I have trusted my GPS to find me a last minute hotel at 12:30 AM and I was very happy for the pick because when I arrived at the motel, I and my family was greeted like I was at 5 star Hotel. Room was very clean and big, Carpet was spotless. It has all the amanities you need on a road trip. Owner asked us that how can he make our stay pleasant and comfortable? He was a gentleman. He came to see us off and offered us fresh blueberries for free before we left. It is pretty much better then any two star motel or hotel. It is located in a quiet neibourhood and only two miles away from a major intersection and a few miles away from Safari. I highly recommend this motel. I paid lest then $60 for my stay and motel owner didn't charge for third adult.

The people were nosy. They were watching me come and go. I was one of three tenants there. The pricing was slightly higher than what they told me over the phone. They Limited the amount of time i could have a visitor in the room(people i was seeing while out of town). They would let me know when that time was up. Over all the worst experience for a young person while traveling. I wouldn't recommend this place at ALL!

The owner is very very friendly the place are very clean and quiet!!!! And the price are effortable too!!

Was our second stay at this motel. New owners this time Place need alot of work to be in a five star rating. I'm sorry but rooms were neat but had alot of spiders. Went to store to get bug spray also doors were hard to open front door wouldn't open unless you put all your body into it. ONE good thing there were three small DEER that came around early morning and early evening every day. May think again before staying at this one again. Was in a quiet area but there is new road conctruction coming so you must beware. Sorry but had to tell the truth.......

This hotel provided me with nice comfortable beds, free wifi internet and Clean Rooms. My Stay was very pleasant. Owners Sam and Divya runs a wonderful motel here. They even invited me for a cup of tea and hot breakfast in the morning and provided me with free water bottles throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is passing by town of Roseberg. Stay a night with Sam and Divya and you won't regret it.

This place was a lovely, clean, quiet place to spend some time. Would reccomend it to anyone looking for a quiet space to stay for night. Management very friendly and prompt with any information we needed to find restaurants in the area to dine at. Lovely place, lovely people!

Where to begin... Shady Oaks was definitely a pleasant experience. We showed up at 2 in the morning and the owners were still able to give us a room and still managed to somehow be congenial and friendly at that ungodly hour. The rooms were clean and the bed springs were in working order. There was free coffee in the morning and the owner came out in the morning to make sure that our stay was ok. Overall Shady Oaks Motel provided excellent service and a friendly (not shady) atmosphere. 11 thumbs way up.

The Shady Oaks Motel was a perfect place for us to stay. Its right off the freeway,which was nice, we didn't have to hunt for it. It was clean, the beds were firm but comfortable.The bathroom was spotless, and when you first walk into the room it smells fresh and clean. The owners went far above and beyond to help us and were very friendly. I had trouble with my computer and at midnight the owners tried to help me fix it, The frount of the motel has a lovely garden/park where you can walk among flowers, herbs, and sweet smelling grass and watch birds and butterflys, which were plentyful. I enjoyed picking black berries from a small patch that was kept neat and clean. There are several lovely oak trees that shade the park and it makes a wonderful place to have a picnic or just walk and enjoy yourself . The motel just seems to call to you, "come, relax, enjoy and be comfortable. Its quiet with no freeway sounds and has such a beautiful setting with hills and green grass and lovely trees all around. We loved it and plan to stay there again on our next trip to Roseburg. If you are looking for a budget motel, this is the place.

After a 12 hour drive , our family pulled in off the highway to this sweet little place. It felt like home with a spacious and immaculately cleaned and homey room. We shared a simple picnic style meal at the table in our room, slept well in comfortable beds and a quiet atmosphere, and strolled around outdoors in a pleasant grassy area the following morning. The hosts were friendly and very accomodating. We would definitely stay here again and were happy to have been lucky enough to come accross this vintage gem. Simple , clean , affordable and gracious hosts....what more could we ask for?

Shady oaks motel is great place to stay with your family or if you are single. We spent two nights at Shady oaks motel when we attended a Art fair and service was very good...rooms were clean and tidy...bathrooms were also spot less...reminded me of my home...We loved it...Great place..we will stay at Shady oks again next year...
