Idaho Heritage Inn Bed & Breakfast, Boise

I read the many good reviews regarding the Idaho Heritage Inn B & B before making my reservation, so I felt at ease. In fact, I had a really nice time. The owners (and their two cute kitties) are very friendly, and the house is very well kept! I enjoyed my stay very much. The breakfast was delicious! Everything was pretty much made from scratch and very fresh! The house is in the historic district, and you can walk to just about anywhere from it. I would really like to stay at this inn again if I am ever in Boise.

We visited Boise because we are thinking of moving to that area (from SC). If the hospitality as a whole is any where near what we experienced at the Inn, we won't think twice about it. They couldn't have been more gracious, food was delicious, bedrooms well kept and we loved the "period" furniture! We spent two hours over Sunday breakfast just chatting - it was so much like home, cozy and comfortable. We were the only guests at the time and had the chance to view all the other rooms. We found them equally as clean as ours, and would have loved to have stayed in the "room at the top of the stairs." We would recommend them to anyone visiting the area. and we will return, if not just to say "hello."

The location of Heritage Inn is in the historic district of Boise, which gave us a good sampling of the local flavor. However, the innkeepers seemed frazzled and extremely concerned that we stayed on the third floor, the stairs to which are extremely narrow. The gentleman of this establishment said, "I'll get the suitcases up here! Don't even think about bringing them up!" I mean, that sounds so gracious! But for some reason both my husband and I thought lawsuit. The room itself needed a really good going over. It was clean, but the furniture appeared to be very neglected. There's a sweet kitty, but he really sheds. We were basically ignored except for when it came to the suitcases. And the breakfast seemed somehow like a leftover from the day before.
