Not worth a second look
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/09
A cheap place to flop. Outmoded, outdated. Amenities listed are there but do not live up to the advertising. Service was non existence. Had to ask to have sheets changed.

The Town Dump?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/09
Starting with the positive it is a quaint place with the possibilities of being an excellent, if older inn. However, at least in Room 6, the toilet would not stop running and the staff would not fix it (we tried ourselves); it was infested with flies (killed at least 4 and they kept coming); the desk help was indifferent; and both windows in the room would not remain closed. The curtains were shoddy and did not cover the windows. Would not recommend this room or hotel under any conditions to anyone. I will be disputing the full charges on this room on my charge card if the staff does not adjust our bill upon checkout.

Would go back but.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/09
We were quoted a $42 room. Got there and were charged $120.50 because it was Granny's Marathon. Would liked to have known what the proce was in advance. It was probably unintentional, but couldn't help but be a little angry. The room was definitely a $42 room, but very clean and comfortable....you seldom see that level of cleanliness in a motel at any price.

Pleasantly Surprised
By Big Daddy Spike, 06/30/09
For the price I wasn't expecting much, but it was very nice. It was clean, the people were friendly and it was an all around enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay again.

Hit and miss, low price is OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/08
The price is OK as far as tourist motels go. Unfortunately they don't have a construction or corporate rate, so if you are in Superior on business you can do better. Their internet was not working when I stayed there, but they were still advertising it on the sign. I have been their twice and had to fix the toilet in my rooms both times and the TV once. Also, the cellular service is poor in the area. The house brand coffee is pretty terrible and the soap is the smallest I've ever seen. The rooms have always been clean as far as I can tell, although not all of the appliances and fixtures seem to work as they should. I will not be staying there in the future. If you are in the area on business check out the Hotel Allendale or the Willard Munger Inn over in Duluth. Also, the Sunshine Inn is supposed to be pretty good.

Very Accommodating Folks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/08
I'm a low maintenance individual and this place suits me just fine. It's clean, well maintained - even the smoking rooms aren't that awful bad (I don't smoke) - and a good value. Also, on a personal note, it's a breath of fresh air to see a young family taking on a business and making it work. This place will be my first choice to break up a trip north or south. Highly recommended motel at the under-$50 price-point.
