Incorrectly listed amenities and terribly rude staff

Over a holiday weekend, my husband and I attempted to stay for one night at this hotel in order to see our family over the holiday. According to the amenities listings, pets are allowed at the hotel. We checked in, being told no rules and regulations and then once we paid and took our luggage to the room, we were kicked out with no refund because we had two small dogs with us. We were told that because one of the signs on the wall stated no pets allowed, we were in fact lying by checking in. The hotel attendant referred to us as liars multiple times and told us that if we couldn't read, it was not her problem and we still weren't getting our money back. As a result, we were forced to drive 2 and 1/2 hours back home without seeing our family for the holiday. I have never been treated in such a demeaning fashion by any "business" representative and I would highly recommend staying at any hotel other than this one. The employees are rude and the rooms are not nice at all, in addition to the fact the hotel utilizes unfair busines practices by advertising that they allow pets and then kicking you out once they have your payment so that they can then rent the room again the same night.
