Fair Value Inn, Rapid City

A good value for a motel is that it is clean and comfortable, in my opinion. This room smelled awful. It smelled like urine or fungus covered up with Pine Sol. Also, there was nasty black matter on drapes. I want to thank a previous lodger who left his yellowed tonails on the floor right by the table I ate dinner at. I dropped some grains of rice and was picking up each grain by hand when I saw this gross scene. Why the housekeeper didn't see this, I do not know. The place looked like there was no pride in ownership. I would not rent a place like this to anyone. I guess I'm pickey? I would never stay here again. When presented with the info, the manager (owner) did not seem to care. I am also wary of AAA, since I found them in tour book.
