My husband and I went for just a weekend get away...Didnt want to drive far and really didn't expect much. We have to admit...We got WAY MORE than we paid for..VERY RELAXING....The rooms (more like mini suites) were roomy, clean, home away from home amenities; ..Front desk employees were all very professional, helpful with any questions we had. it was close to many places to eat. The beach, if we wanted to was in walking distance. (If you enjoy walking miles at a time) It was a beautiful weekend and staying here made it even more memorable..We will definately plan to return many, many more times through the year..We will defnitely recommend this to friends and family...Satisfied customers..

Needs improvement soon

I had great expectations yet, pillows were light and no air conditioning in my room. I've never been in a hotel without ac. Grafitti is visible on the outside of their tennis courts. The police drove by three times in one night. I'm not sure if this place is safe or not.

Beauty & Elegance

My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Casa Via Mar Inn. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. It impresses you once you open the door. Their location is "breathtaking." We intend to return every month, celebrating at their $1 bar.

The Celebrity Getaway

While other hotels are slow, the Casa Via Mar pack it's 74 room hotel almost everynight. The hotel offers tremendous service. There are: tennis courts, a $1 bar, a BBQ pit, a heated pool, & free popcorn while watching movies. When you stay four consecutive nights, the 5th is complimentary. Moreover, if you mention sales, the front desk gives you 10% off their lowest rate. Military reviews are excellent. Many high ranking officers such as lieutenants, majors, & captains enjoy the cleanliness in the rooms. The Casa Via Mar has also be notorious as a "celebrity getaway." Thank you Casa Via Mar Inn & Tennis Club for making my stay memorable.

Close to Base...

We were looking for and found an inexpensive clean hotel close to the Navy Base. We stayed for about 3 weeks waiting for our housing to open up. Service was really nice and the stay was enjoyable. Would stay there again.

My get away...

I shouldn't give this place a good review, because it is getting harder to get a room! My family and I just love it there when we are visiting family in Oxnard. We love to stay at the Casa Via Mar. The beds are not all that comfortable, and pillows are thin, so bring your own pillow. But the customer service is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable for the price we paid. It is in a great location, close to the Fisherman's Warf. The heated pool is another amenity that is just A+ in our book. We enjoy the Happy Hour with $1.00 drinks and the complimentary breakfast in the morning, helps you get your day off to a great start. So if the comfort and size of beds are not a factor your needs this place is very much recommended.
