Benjamin Prescott Inn, Jaffrey

Was not given the room requested and confirmed. Hostess did "not get around" to emailing that "there was a mix-up". Made no attempt to apologize. Mattress sagged to the middle, room lacked basic amenities like glasses, tissue (found in other unoccupied room however) Advertises a/c but only in the "suites". Windows only opened a couple of inches. Host/hostess invisible after lst unpleasant encounter. Would not recommend.

I stayed on business in early Feb. Loved the fireplace which was so cozy during breakfast, which was excellent. Cinnamon french toast! The innkeepers were friendly and helpful at every turn. Hope to return soon!

Stayed overnight in January 2005. We stayed in the Col Prescott rm which has a lovely comfortable queen bed, sunny views. Overall very quiet and restful. Breakfast was outstanding, with fresh fruit and delicious muffins with an egg puff and bacon, I have never seen before. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again!

Arrived and was immediately greeted at the door by the host couple. Very friendly and accomodating and non-intrusive after we got info for the night and breakfast. My wife is very particular with cleanliness and was satisfied with the room and surroundings. Was immediately invited to have raspberry iced tea and we sat in the backyard with a hammock, chimnea, comfortable chairs and a beautiful pasture. Very relaxing. After a nice evening, we had a very tasty home made breakfast which consisted of home made blueberry and cranberry muffins, juice, a wonderful artichoke, salsa, and three cheese quiche. All in all ended up being a great value when compared to other local establishments where other guests at our wedding had stayed. In our casual discussions we decided we had the best experience. You may want to discard ratings prior to June as these are new innkeepers, and are anxious to please. Would return in the future. No problems with air conditioning or comfort. Friendly atmosphere.

Within the past couple months new innkeepers have taken over business. They are very service oriented making sure you have everything you need. They are willing to tell you great places in the immediate area and they are more then knowledgeable about the greater New England area! The breakfasts are incredible and the rooms are all so unique. The innkeepers took the time to ask us where we were going and followed-up with questions about our experience. They also kept us updated if one or both of them planned to be out of the house. We love it. Beautiful surrounding area!
