Jonathan's Motel, Hampton

I've read a few of these negative reviews and can honestly say that I had no problems. Other than the cofee packet was missing. Louise (who runs the place) was more than accomodating and the room was fine. View of the ocean, and parking in the rear was not a problem at all. Some of the motels on this strip had no parking. Pretty good stay and I slept well, too!

We stayed here last year and it could of been better parking SUCKS small rooms not the greatest keep looking!!! They don't even have handicap parking!!!!

I stayed in the ocean view. It wasn't what we espected to be. I'm not sure because of the room or all the rooms had the same problem. The room was small and it smelled bad when we walked in. I end up having bed bugs bites. I was not to pleased. The only convience was it was right across the beach. I waste my money and it wasn't cheap.Well I hope this rating will help others.

I have stayed at johnathans several times and will continue to come back. Not only do most rooms have beautiful views, they are quiet, clean , and convienient. It is a great location, while being on ocean bvld it is far enough away from the action to maintain some quietness. I have noticed that rooms are being updated. and I am writing this review solely on the renovations of room # 202. I got so lucky when I requested an ocean front room and got placed in this room. The clerk mentioned that it had been updated but I could not believe my eyes. When I walked into this room I felt as if I was in a swanky hotel and was paying much more than my means. New carpet, paint, linins, and even a fireplace. (I'm comming back in the winter). Details were fantasic, right down to the ceramic tile in the bathroom. I hope all of the other renovations are equally beautiful. I always enjoy Johnathans but Its an extra perk to get room 202.

I love this motel ! I have stayed here several times and in different rooms. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly. The location is great,on the quiet end of the beach. Really nice and quiet at night cuz you don't have all the boardwalk traffic and noise. It is a great place to stay! Definately going back this year.

Jonathan's was clean, quiet, and in a good location. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly, and advised us on the best places to go for ice cream and breakfast. Our room was HUGE compared to the rooms we had at Super 8's on our vacation, and overlooked a nice marsh instead of an ugly parking lot.

I thought this was a very nice motel and was clean and the view was spectacular. Its not the Trump plaza like some would expect. It was alovely little motel to enjoy the ocean and you could walk to the boardwalk and then get back to your relaxing motel and sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. We disliked everything about this place. The only good thing was its location. It was not clean in any way shape or form. We arrived while the "maids" were cleaning our room. After they were finished we went in to discover a mess. We found crumbs under the bed, hair all over the sheets and towels. There were stains as well. The largest stain was on the mattress cover, it was at least 12 inches wide and brown and disgusting. We also found a childs swim shorts in the bathroom that were definetly not ours. The toilet and shower were also unlivable. The phone had brown burn marks and gunk on it, and the television was on what looked like a flimsy music stand. There were also stains on the walls and cobwebs. The carpet was in need of a good shampoo. After we discovered the messes in our room, we asked the concierge, who was a teenager, to switch but it was impossible since there were no vacancies. So we asked for her to come look att he mess. She did so with an attitude, and said "this room is from the 70's and this is as celan as it can get." then she offered us new sheets which we never received. We would not reccomend Jonathans to anyone but our enemies. It is not clean, the staff was of little help and it was gross. If you are goign to stay here i would ask to see your room before you agree to it, some rooms are better than others.

I have stayed at jonathan's a couple of times whenever I work at the Seabrook Energy Station for their outages. I stay there because the staff are very friendly towards traveller's like myself. The rates are exceptional when you travel as much as I do. If you DON'T like a quiet, comfortable place to lay your head then you should probably stay somewhere else. The ocean sings you to sleep every night you stay there. Be back again this year in about a week or so.

We are a mid fifties couple who have stayed at the motel in the past with our children and came back alone for four days on July24 2007. The motel was clean and the staff was congenial.Oceanfront rooms have a great view and you are close to everything. Rooms in the back building are more spacious and a family would certainly enjoy their stay since the fridge, microwave and coffee maker allow you to save on breakfasts and light lunches made for the beach. Although the furnishings are dated the motel is good - better than most others. Our bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was adequate.
