El Rancho Motel, Bishop

I WAS EXPECTING A RUN DOWN JOINT, I WAS WAY OFF. VERY NICE PEOPLE THEY GO OUT OF THARE WAY TO PLEASE YOU. NOT IDEAL FOR A ROMANTIC GETAWAY BUT, IF IF YOUR SPLITTING A ROOM WITH THE FISHING OR SKI BUDDIES IT'S PERFECT.

7/29/09- There were new mgrs (been there a week) when we stayed. Younger native american couple. They were nice and helpful. We had some minor issues, but nothing we could not get fixed. The room was a pleasant surprise, for a little more then $50 we had 2 full size beds, kitchenette and a couch. In Fresno (Rodeway Inn) we paid the same for a room the that barely fit 1 bed for the same price. We wanted to do a "cheap" roadtrip w/ camping and motels and this was the bargain of the whole route. We ended up where we started at HotSpringsRentals net, another place I recommend.

I enjoyed my stay, although it was a short one. After a full day of fishing the rivers, it was heaven sent. Only no cleaning station!

Our room was clean and the beds was comfortable. Pleasantly surprized at the service and how cute the motel is.. Great deal. Will definitely go back. I have already recommended it to friends!!

Missing and broken lamps, broken TV channel selector and other inexcusable aggravations like that. Never had these problems when the older former owners were running this Motel.

I liked the old-fashioned style and low-key atmosphere. The guy who took my reservation sounded half asleep but nice. The room was incredibly clean and the whole place is pretty quiet. I liked the wifi too. You can walk a block to the cutest parts of Bishop for drinks, dinner, and shopping. The street it is on looks kind of industrial but once you check in that first impression wears off.

The El Rancho Motel has changed a lot since I last visited 2 years ago. I understand it has new owners. I've stayed there several times over the past few years and never had a problem. But this time the coffee maker, microwave oven, and ceiling fan didn't work and they don't have the fish cleaning area anymore. Also the beds weren't made up and linen service was poor. I won't be staying there again.

it's nice and quite, and a great place to stay at. This hotel i recommand to any one. If you want to cheap, nice hotel... then is the one to stay at.

Small off the beaten track motel near downtown, Some rooms have small kitchens. No pool or other facilities like this; but, a nice small motel.
