WORSE service EVER- even for a cheap motel
Now, I'm a pretty reasonable person. I would not post a review about squeaky floors, an uncomfortable bed, or shower tiles so old, cracked, and discoloured I actually wore my flip flops to shower in for fear of what could be growing in there. It's a cheap motel, and we just needed a place to sleep before hitting Lake Powell for a week with our Great Dane. What I can't do is AWFUL customer service. Our bathroom door wouldn't close. Not even close. Off by several inches. To me, this isn"t an "oh well" fault. This is a..."make it right, please" situation. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude when we asked for a new room. She claimed they are booked up, which is a lie. Ther's rooms available on their website. Then she told my husband "if its just you and your wife, why do you need the bathroom door shut?" I'm sorry, lady, but after being on the road ALL DAY and paying $70 for one night, it would be rather nice to poop in peace and privacy. And ladies, don't count on shaving your legs in the cramped shower. Even if your bathroom light works, the showers are very very dark. I literally used a flash light. Customer service like that is inexcusable. If they were truly booked up, then the right thing to do would be to discount our room to compensate, and I'm not one to look for bs reasons to cheat companies. I run a business myself and if one of my employees talked to a client of mine like we were talked to, they would be fired SO fast. There are 2 other motels less than 2 blocks away. Avoid this place like the plague. I'm a goer of cheap motels, and I never ever have high expectations, but this place is just bad. Also, their "dog area" mentioned on their website is nothing more than a small grass area right by the road with no fence. As for the cleanliness: decent, but there were cobwebs EVERYWHERE. If you hate spiders, don't stay here. If it weren't for the downright AWFUL customer service, I would not have even bothered with a review
