Pretty Good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
The Mariner Resort is a motel. You shouldn't go into it thinking you are staying at a resort. The positives The location of the motel is good if you are looking for a location that is quiet and away from the downtown area. The motel is the last motel before you hit Wells, Maine. It was a 10-12 minute walk to Ogunquit Beach, which is nice since the parking rates for weekdays was $15 and $20 for weekends. The trolley into down was across the street and drop off from downtown was directly in front of the hotel. There were times during the trip that we wished it was a little closer to the restaurants and downtown area. Compared to other motels, the Mariner is very competetively priced. There are no frills with the place and what you get is a motel room with good pools and a distant view to the Atlantic Ocean. The water pressure for the shower was outstanding. It was even a little too powerful for our 4 year old. The negatives The rooms need updating and need to be freshened up. There was an odor in our room which they fixed with some coffee grinds. You couldn't use the gym until 8:30 am at which time my entire family was awake, so exercising was not easy. If you a light sleeper and you don't have children, insist on a room on the upper level. The guest in the room above us would get in at 2:00-3:00 am and woke me up every night when they got home.

Loved the Mariner!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
My husband and I just got back from staying at the Mariner for our 5th anniversary. We had such a great experience there! Our room was large, clean, and comfortable with a fantastic view. The staff at the front desk were very knowledgable about the area and gave us excellent suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be going back!

Great Place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/06
My husband and I have been staying at the Mariner 2-3 times each year for the past 5 years. The rooms are large, comfortable and immaculate. The pools, hot tub and grounds are meticulously maintained with beautiful flowers everwhere. The staff is delightful and helpful. The owners are congenial and gracious. We are anxiously looking forward to our next stay

Home away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/05
My family and I have been staying in Ogunquit for 20 years. The past two Septembers, all the women in my family take our annual trip to Ogunquit and stay at the Mariner. It is my home away from home - both the town and the hotel. I look forward to going back every year. The rooms are spacious and clean an the two pools are refreshing. The staff go out of their way to make sure we have all that we need. I strongly recommend this hotel. It's a place that allows you to relax and feel at home.

Nice Family Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/05
We have stayed at many different Ogunquit hotels during the past 10 years. There are many nice accomadations in Ogunquit but I think we have found a place for us to stay from now on. The Mariner offers clean spacious rooms at an affordable price. Their two pools are great for kids. They also have a fairly new fitness room. Stay at the Mariner you won't regret it.
