Club Med Columbus Isle, Cockburn Town

This island is truly paradise. I dont understand how someone couldnt love this place, it is truly beautiful, wonderful beach, clean, wonderful weather friendly staff & locals. i have vacationed here 3 times and it is my favorite place to go to relax, swim in the ocean, dance, eat, and enjoy. I have visited club meds around the world I love ixtapa too, but this is my favorite island to visit.

Spent Easter Vacation there.Boring.If your idea of fun is dancing around a pool to very loud music,this place is probable for you.Lots of food but only so-so.Very small settlement about 2 miles away.No crafts.Easy check in,someone to show your room.Met Flavia,nice lady who is in charge of the whole island.Mostly Frence speaking guest,they flly for hours to get there,cant understand why.But then,the French think Jerry Lewis is funny...

My company sent 15 people to this resort and I had been to many places in the carribean before this and I was very suprised. Club med was more than I could of dreamed of. So clean and very friendly staff many were from the us and canda as well as locals who took care of food and room service. Cleanest calm, white sandy beach I have ever seen. You can see you toes in water over 5 feet. Its very calm and relaxing not a party place. I loved it.

I enjoyed every aspect of my trip to Columbus Isle San Salvador. The whole experience was absolutey incredible. From the people who work there to the other guests, everyone was so very nice. Pascal, Michael, Nicolas, Maher, Shaggy, Brian, Ben, Jason, and all of the other GO's were so helpful and such a joy to spend time with. I'm already looking forward to planning my next trip to return. Again, I would like to thank you all for such a memorable experience. I hope to see you again on my next visit. Of all the places I have been to in the world,I think I have found the real Garden of Eden. I took my girl friend there in Sept 2005. The GM and staff were outstanding. I have never been so happy on a vacation as I was with Club Med Columbus Isle. The food was outstanding and Paco who took care of the beach and sailing, water skiing was terrific. We sailed the hobi cats for hours at a time. Snorkling in the clear waters. I will learn to scuba dive next time. Thank you Club Med for the best time ever in my life.

Very beautiful Low Key GO's were wonderful Food was fabulous Nicely spread out Next door(Riding Rock) worth the visit for sunset and Pina Colada! Visited beautiful beaches, around the island. I loved the way the village was spread out and the beach front was spread out. We spent out days over by the Sailing area. It was never crowed anywhere along the beach. Sailing, windsurfing and kayaking were all fun and GO's were fabulous. We loved the variety of food and the availability of drinks and wine. It was a little hard to mingle with french/english, but the GO's kept the conversation going. I think this Club Med is more for Adults. Not really a party atmosphere, but the entertainment was fun and we were definitely never bored. In fact we hardly had time to do all the activities that we wanted to do. I also took some tennis lessons that I thought were great. Our room was great. One of our friends room smelt a little musty and their towels were not plush like ours. We felt very pampered the whole time we were there. We went snorkeling. Unfortunately we did not know there were many different snorkeling sites or we would have went 3 or 4 more times. All and all we had a fabulous holiday.

We didnt like this isle at all, we all had a horrible time. It is a big waste of money to be a club med member.

you dont need to go to tahiti to see a view like this i went several years ago the rooms were outstanding the food some of the best in the world the cocovon chicken was great people and staff outstanding did not wabt to leave one of my dreams is to go back christian john nielsen scuba diving wellness spa activities or just relax

I just return from 2 weeks ( nov 2005 ) in Club med Columbus island in Bahamas. The club is very nice and very clean. Wheather : We had 2 days of rain but they arrange poker table so we have something to do. For the rest of the time it was almost always sunny with some clouds. The temperature was very hot, 30 and more in the day and 24 and more at night. But they told us that it was usually colder than that for that time of the year. Activity : There is a lot of activity: scuba, snorkeling, tennis, beach volleyball, soccer, sailing, windsurfing, fitness, danse lesson, archery, Bounce ball. We arrived oct 30 and we were told that there is no water-ski in the winter season. The winter season start oct 30 $#%@#$%@. I was disappointed because I thought it would be open. If you look on the web site there is water ski. If you look in the WINTER brochure there is water ski. There is not a lot of people in the activity since most of the people go there just to relax. Crazy sign: Crazy sign are kept to a minimum and there is not much participation from the GM. There was a day with no crazy sign because none of the GM came to the pool. ( I was in snorkeling ). At night there is usually 1 or 2 before the show and 1 or 2 after the show. Allooooooooooooooo is it club med Animation: There is no animation team and no �fou du village�. I was told that people just want to relax. Allooooooooooooooo is it club med Scuba: I did two very nice dive. It was some of the best dive of my life. I saw nice coral, a lot a fish, merou, mureine, rays, gray shark, nurse shark, big angel fish, crabs, barracuda. Name it, it was there. The snorkeling is nice but you can not start from the beach. You really need to take the boat. Food. It is club med. Very good bread and cake. There was always something good in the buffet. Your only concern is what should you choose there is so many thing to taste. Room. Very clean, big bed, TV, phone, air blower, ironing, refrigerator. Party. The disco is not always open. When it is close you can still go to the lounge to dance or to drink. Good thing there is GO to put a good ambiance at the disco. There is also a poker night. There is one bar outside of the club ask the go if they plan to go. Show. There is some night with no show. The shows are very nice. The dancer are very good. Mamdoo, Yvany, Anick, Michelle, Nara, Judith, karine, Marie-Eve, Audrey. The best one is the Jannet and Michael Jackson show. But Yvany and Mamdoo are leaving the club. I think we saw the last show when we were there. The GM show was also nice. Ambiance: The staff is very good. Always smily, nice, interesting and professional. The beginning of November is the turn over for the GO. The new Go were shyer and we saw the best one leave. Conclusion. We had a very nice trip. We met a lot of fun people, GO and GM.
