Bird-In-Hand Village Inn & Suites, Bird in Hand

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times in the main house. The Desmond suite on the top floor is my favorite, with two clean comfortable bedrooms. The service is wonderful and every night when we arrived back from dinner we were greeted by a friendly face and warm, home baked cookies. The place is spotless and quiet. The only noise comes from the clip-clop of the occasional Amish horse and buggy passing by. It's delightful, actually.

we stayed 2 nights here and 2 nights in another hotel in the area of lancaster and this inn was okay but pricey. It had an average breakfast, continental actually which is odd for a pricey place. We had a noisey road side room too so we did not get a chance to relax very much. We actually hear people yelling profanity too outside our room I think it was another guest and his wife so that was uncomfortable. For 120 per night this was not worth it there are better only 1-3 miles away look around first.

I feel like I go back to see old friends. Everyone behind the desk wants to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are always ready with a map and suggestions.

It is pretty, clean, confortable and homey. Also, a great location.

My husband and I stayed there last weekend for two nights. we were in the Carriage House which is fairly new. We stayed in the Hostelier Suite. It was a two room suite that was so comfortable and nice and roomy. High ceilings, nice decor, and very clean. We really enjoyed this place. Had a nice continental plus breakfast in the morning. The location is close to everything. You can use their facilities at the Bird and Hand Inn. So you have the quiet of your location but if you want to swim or play miniature golf it is only a block away. We recommend it highly when visiting the Amish Country. The service was good and the people were very friendly.
